Exclusion blackwood makes pretty natural sense to me, I'd argue it's slightly higher tech to ask for third round control. I really like this level of bidding, I don't like to play with partners who just jump into a contract without asking and investigating where to go. I even saw a contract go 1c-p-1d-p 1s-p-1nt-p 6c That jump is so bad long term. yes it was 12 tricks, but why not investigate for the 13th?
I also really like that convention where you show Two lowest suits, Lowest/highest and both highest suits on the 4th level! Very good content ! I appreciate this

I feel exclusion is pretty common no? At my local club I'd say about 50+ people play it. Third round control asks are less common but I've been trying to introduce them to more people

Hey Gavin, system question. What would it have meant in your system if you had bid 3D transfer and then jumped to 4S? Vs. Texas transfer then 4S? I was thinking Texas into 4S would be normal kickback, and 3 level transfer into 4S would be exclusion

All too often substandard preempts like this one help opponents in the auction, although it might well have gone the same way had N been allowed to open 1NT.
