I have that exact HP gaming Desktop I bought last September for $700. I have the one with the Ryzen 5 and 1650. I'm glad I didn't wait ( was going to wait because the prices usually get cheaper.) So far good. and I bought the additionally warranty too. I don't feel so bad now. I remember seeing the 1650 last year being around $160 it's crazy how much they cost now. Ridiculous!

I found that pre built at my local Walmart for 650 with tax: 1650 super, r5 3500 m.2 256gb and 8 gb DDR4 ram (single channel) and I looked on Amazon, that pc goes for 1,049.99 with 8 gb of more ram. That’s crazy
I have it, and I used Launch Box to turn it into a super game console. I can start streaming at the push of a button in the middle of play. Just add a stick of ram and overclock the 1650 Super a little and it runs amazingly. Its quiet too which means if I crank the fans you could get more performance out of it.

I finally got my room ready after a move and finished all my DIY stuff for the setup and was ready to start buying parts when this COVID BS started. I told myself to wait for things to die down and I could just start buying parts when they drop in price. Well fast forward a year and prices keep going up, so my buddy that works at microcenter got me hooked up with a sweet MSI pre-built for 1300...card is a GTX 2060 Super too. The card alone is going for the price of my build lol.

Needed to upgrade my GPU so I can play Half Life VR, went to PC partpicker etc. Cost to build or upgrade my PC was over twice the price as buying a preguilt, yes I meant preguilt. Went on AMZ and BB saw the Aurora R11, no brainer plus it looks cool AF and I have been wanting an Alienware PC since 2011. The command center is pretty sweet too. Very happy with it. No need to upgrade for a while, still I just want to build my own PC again.

I've been researching and I think building your own is cheaper and you can build it how you want it to look like. Some people even complain about pre-built rip offs but some people are okay with it because they don't know how to build one.

I bought a SKYTECH blaze2 from Amazon and I wasn't happy with it,The pc arrived damaged and had loose rubber parts melted to the RTX2060 so I refunded it.I purchased the better NZXT BLD with an RTX3070 and I'm happy with it and great build quality.
Too late, my RX6700xt just showed up as the last piece to the puzzle that was already built and waiting. Did I overpay? You're goddamn right I did. I'm predicting the situation to get worse before it gets better.
I bought a prebuilt last week with an RTX 3070 and a 5600X for 2.2k AUD, which is pretty good considering the 3070's alone are going for about 1700 each on ebay.
*Pre-built seems to be easier for most as they don't have to spend Hours putting it together like I did with my First back in July but for me, I was able to get a 2070 super for $500 and paired that with my Ryzen 5 and I have a PC that will work for me for the next couple years and was able to replace my CPU Cooler after market with another one made by another market and it works just fine for me. But yeah Pre-Built seems to be decent and Costco's has an AMAZING line of Gaming PCs that we've sold for under $1k. *
Chronos Mini isn't bad. Got it a month ago cause building would cost too much. Would recommend overclocking it. It's a great PC for the price at the moment.
I think the windows part is something you skimmed over really quickly, I built a pc during the pandemic and I'm sitting with the free version of windows 10 and no office, so I'm having to rely on google docs. I think windows cost $300 maybe, in my country it's really expensive. office costs almost as much I think. All of that is probably what I spent on my CPU, RAM, and motherboard alone. Them giving it to you for free is such an advantage.
I did your 500$ build it cost me a little more but I went with 1 terabyte evo plus and put a 1650 super and it's slamming and I got a brand new 1650 for 350$ which I jumped on then I found a 20 series NVIDIA for 399 at micro center. The same computer I built is like 1650$ and I got a hyper x keyboard hyper x alpha s headphones and lg 240 Hertz monitor for around 1200 $ and I love it
I'm gaming on an old $100 Dell Optiplex 9020 with a cheap, $25 Geforce GT710 GPU and $45 16 gb of RAM. My brother bought a $1,000 dollar prebuilt and I'm still better than he is. For some reason he thought a gaming PC would magically make him play better. It didn't.

Got a Hp Pavillion with a 1650 super for 600$, just needed to buy some extra ram and i was good to go. Crazy to think 1650 supers are 400$+ rn and you can just get a pre build with the same gpu for basically the same price.

Got a Hp Pavillion with a 1650 super for 600$, just needed to buy some extra ram and i was good to go. Crazy to think 1650 supers are 400$+ rn and you can just get a pre build with the same gpu for basically the same price.

checked newegg, the rtx 2070 super i purchased for $500 over a year ago is now selling for $1600. unreal.
I’m happy I live in Sweden cuz here there’s still a lot of them in stock and the price is the same as before. But you can buy a rtx 3090 for $34000 on wish which is way to high
