What a BEAUTIFUL video! Oh my goodness, the flower combinations are stunning!! The Lupine's are unbelievable! I also spotted a "Jitterbug" Iris and adding it to my list!! Between this tour and the Dahlia tour, I may have to plan a trip to Oregon to see it all in person!! Thank you for sharing!!!
Aww, thanks Kim!! There’s so much beautiful places to see, I would totally have a list ready for you. 😁Every time I go to their gardens it just gets better and better. They have done such a beautiful job with planting the perfect combination of flowers and everything else, it’s amazing. 🥰
Haven't been able to get there for a few years now so this was a real treat Claudia! I always love driving this section of I-5 this time of year to see Shriner's fileds of Iris. The rainbow of colors are always so impressive. I have almost forgotten what stunning display gardens they have! They always have had some of the most gorgeous Bearded Iris's, but I absolutely loved those Lupines!!! Btw...I miss all of our Columbines! I think our landscapers must have yanked them when they were coming up last Spring cause they couldn't identify them as a plant (instead of a weed!).☹ They are so petty. I also love them for their rainbow of colors as well as they too remind me of my Dad (seem most flowers do!🤔😂😊).
Lisa I thought of you when I got there this morning. I was even telling Sergey that morning, I feel like Lisa and her mom would really love to see this place again. I think we talked about it before? I feel like their garden gets better and better every year. I saw some beautiful irises I’d love to add to our garden, especially those peachy colored ones. 😍 I totally almost pulled our friends Columbine out!! 😂 They look similar to a weed when they’re small, I was convinced they were weeds. I picked up 8 purple ones I want to get planted. I really am loving them with the irises. Also, omg their lupines were insane!!! I was in awe of how beautiful they keep them.
@@InTheGardenWithClaudia oh their Lupines were crazy! We.have had some really pretty (as well as large ones) thru the years, but I could not believe the size & stockiness of theirs! They were massive!!!! Yes, I was trying to think of the last time we stopped at the display gardens & it had to at least be 15+ years ago as both my Dad & Grandma were still alive. I remember it was right after my Grandma had had a stroke & it was a very hot day & my Grandma was running up & down the isles like a mad woman to record all the ones that she liked (& wanted to order). We then went to another Iris Garden not that far up the road (wish I could remember their name?!🤔) where she then did the same thing their too!😂 I couldn't hardly keep up w/ her & her husband was about ready to have a heart attack over worry about her - but cause of his age & health had no choice but to stay seated in the shade). Oh I miss her so much! She was a live wire!🤣 Talk about a master gardener!!! Wish you could have seen her garden!😊💐🌸🏵🌱🌺🌻🌼
Ahh! Right!? They are so beautiful. I totally joked with them about digging one up and taking them lol. I also loved all of the Columbine, such beautiful pairings of flowers.
To have that locally to visit, such a blessing! I have several fringe trees and love them, as far as messy I guess when the blooms fall you have what looks like snow on the ground for a short period of time, but nothing you have to clean up, and they produce blue berries/seeds during the summer that the birds love.
Oh my gosh!!! Really!? How long does the fringe/flower bloom for? I’m going to try and hunt one down, I think they are stunning. Bonus the birds will have something to snack on. 😍 It really is a blessing to have so many beautiful places to visit and pull inspiration from.
I loved the iris tour! I just ordered their iris catalog. Maybe I'll be able to figure out some of the names of some of mine. I usually get mine from friends and family, but I have also dug some out of a ditch or two! What wonderful combinations of plants they have. I recently bought some columbine to plant by some of my irises. I have some peonies by some irises already. Thanks for the gorgeous tour! Wish I lived closer so I could visit too!
Yay!! That makes my heart smile. I bit you have a stunning garden full of color! I feel like irises are making a big comeback, and I think seeing the pairings of flowers similar to how you have it in your garden and their garden was such an inspiration this time around. Their catalog is so stunning, I would love to just have one of everything but I know that’s not practical. 😆 I am definitely leaning towards the peachy tones but some of those purples and pinks were so stunning I love them. I’ve ordered their irises before and have had amazing success with them. I’m really pleased at how they ship and how they perform the very first year you plant them up. 🥰
I wish we have a place like that close to me. My eyes need this kind of magic. Thank you for sharing your experience. I love those lupines! Will they bloom on the first year if you sow them from seed?
Aw, thanks Melody. We have some more tours coming up, it’s just nice to show these gardens because they pay so much attention to the details, it really helps brainstorm ideas. As far as lupines, I’ve had some success from seed. Lupines planted from seed in spring won't bloom until late summer or fall. In some cases, lupines might not bloom until the following spring. To ensure blooms the first season, start lupine seeds indoors six to eight weeks before planting outdoors or sow them outdoors in the fall. I think I started them a bit late, so they weren’t that great. I did buy more seeds but didn’t get around to starting them, so maybe I’ll sow them this fall. 🥰
Thanks for taking us along to Schreiners Gardens!

What a Goal to shoot for 🌹
Peggy, it’s such an incredible garden. I could spend the entire day there making mental notes of everything. Goals for sure! 🥰

@@InTheGardenWithClaudia They bloom for about a month. A native tree here in the Southeast I dug baby ones up at my dad's, good luck!

This place is amazing. The Iris and lupine and alliums are gorgeous❤️❤️❤️
Aren’t they just stunning!? I could seriously spend all day there and it wouldn’t be enough.
I would love to look at something like that over the fence - Wilson
OMG yes Wilson!!! That is the dream! I can’t wait to plant so many beautiful flowers!!
God video
Thank you!! 🥰
Oh Serige
😂😂😂 He’s the biggest supporter. He actually loves going on garden tours, but we were there for a really long time lol.
