This looks alot like the 2011 movie 'Priest' with Karl Urban. Elements of Scifi western with wasteland steam trains, Preachers with crosses on faces and big hats, zombie vampires. Smokestack city's. The sauce material is based on a 1982 short by JRRM. But visually it kinda looks like it could have been an updated remake but with an added plot line about some magic priestess.
This honestly looks EPIC! Not a reboot, not some sequel! Bautista has been my favorite wrestler since I was a kid and Milla has been an icon to me since then also! I really love original tales like this and I look forward to seeing this! Even if the CGI is rough, I can just tell myself it's a video-game-esque world and so it's all mystical anyway. This is a no brainer for me sir!

It’s funny because when I read the story the movie is based on years ago, I imagined a world much like The Lord of the Rings. Lots of greenery, almost like a fairy tale, especially at the beginning, and the Lost Lands as a desert surrounded by a magical darkness filled with glowing eyes. However, this twist surprises me, as the look feels more like movies such as Mad Max (which I love), and I’m really excited to see how they’ve brought the story to the big screen. There are witches, werewolves, creatures, magic, and brutal deaths, and the trailer captures all of that-I’m so thrilled! I think the movie is going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see it, and I can’t wait to Milla Jovovich kicking butt again!

And to be honest, good for them. Paul WS Anderson is an okay director, he’s not great, but I’ve seen a lot worse. And Milla can act the hell out of an action heroine. I might actually watch this in theaters. There are worse ways to kill 2 hours.
