Yeah, it was so weird when i heard that my chinese teachers (teaching in Mongolia) knew about this song.
and no singers in China paid any royalty to the composer who is still alive. He even made a trip to China to talk about it but they only offered him 500 Chinese Yuan. they even changed the lyrics and put it in a movie without permission.
