I absolutely enjoyed this episode man! 🙌🏽 my key take away is definitely respecting your money and doing the mundane things. Currently doing that myself and sometimes I feel like I’m not doing enough but this was really encouraging to say the least because it reinforced that my mindset is in the right place ❤️ thank you so much Dennis for this series, it’s absolutely amazing!

“When the student is ready a teacher will appear.” Position yourself for greatness and God will do the rest.
My key take away from this video is that it’s never too early or too late to start / start over. In most cases we always feel like “I should have started sooner”.
Really enjoyed this chat and I know one way or thee other I’ll get my hands on that book.

I resonated with a lot of things here. Firstly I also failed at my first degree attempt and instead of moving horizontally on the ground like Nicollete said I moved up just like she did. Today I'm attempting a new degree and listen we're doing our best💪🏽Secondly when Dennis asked "what would you say to 23 year old Nicollete" I sat upright because I'm 23😂 and she importantly said "start early" and that's exactly what I'm going to do and "Find something to be great at" even after failing at my first attempt.
    As always Dennis, beautiful video🤍

What actually stood out for me is the fact that Nicollet said we need to use the little we have to reach our end goal, for example we have data or Wi-Fi we can get financial education using such resources we don't have to do extraordinary things for us to reach our goals. Each day is a new day and by doing what you consistently do can result in something big. WE NEED TO START NOW!

It felt like Nicolette was talking to me directly 😭💀 I lovelovelove this series for taking up diverse and challenging conversations around and about adulting. Finance is a topic that is seen as a taboo, especially as Africans and our history around money which we actively have to release ourselves from shackles of that mindset. Normalize having conversations to share and learn more about investments, saving, budgeting - i know i need it.

I really love how she encourages everyone to do something . To never get stuck on the fact that there is no employment but to keep doing something . Also that everything we do in life leads us to who we are meant to be one day. I really enjoyed this we need more people like Nicolette in life because a lot of people want to do the great things but never what's necessary to get ahead at the time.

As a young adult this video was very informative. Thank you so much!
    Lessons learned:
1 Just start- the resources are always there you just need to put your mindset to it.
    2 Invest in financial education
3 Savings are important and will save you in future
4 Always make your money work for you

    Biggest lesson: FINANCIAL EDUCATION!!!
This chat had me crying because I’ve been feeling like such a failure when it comes to my finances but Nicolette has just cemented that I’m just here doing the mundane things and I am on the right path 🥺😭
All I need now is to take a shot at MAKING money.

My take-away: Rule of money: I do not spend all i make and resources do not only come in money, but experience is also a resource. In every season in my life, i get to figure out what it has for me to build the ultimate person i want to be.
I should invest in financial education.
    Network more.
    Respect my money
    get the basics right.
This was great and informative. I started a business at res a few months ago, and when i flop academically i dont lose hope because i know i may be struggling academically but business wise im growing, i am becoming the women i have been called to be. One step at a time.

    and investing in financial education

    I’m a 22 year old…I dropped out of tertiary in 2018 to pursue a degree I THOUGHT I wanted.
I’m currently doing that degree now, and I’m still not happy…I worry everyday about my future , my peers are graduating this year- I’m proud and genuinely happy for them. “DONT LET THE DUST SETTLE” be good at something … when you hit rock bottom strive to go up and not side ways or staying at the bottom.
I am motivated to keep chasing my dreams, haunting my goals and to RESPECT my money cause I’m struggling a lot with budgeting .
Thank you Denis for bringing her on this episode . Thank you Nicolette for all the information you’ve shared. I truly appreciate this video .

This was what I needed to give me a kick start as I had lost hope in myself. But I am definitely investing in FINANCIAL EDUCATION, NETWORKING AND RESPECT NY MONEY (Something I needed to hear bathong) and just doing all the things I know I need to do. The best point I have learnt from this is Network, you know I’m a very shy guy at times and where I used to work they also told me the very same thing. Network, network and network it gonna help you a lot in the years to come and I still didn’t listen but after this, I see the importance of talking with people cos you will never know who you meet or who you talking too unless you speak up, I know it’s hard but let’s teach ourselves to talk. Open your mouth.🔥

When she spoke about there's a reason you are where u are at in life because it will finally be revealed to you why you are there. So many times we feel stuck with so many obligations and forget to zone in and focus on the next step n get in a comfortable mindset.
It also hit home for me when she said let debt work for you and help you. I've always been so scared of debt, the whole concept just makes me freeze but after her analogies and how she explained I will definitely learn more about that and how to navigate finance.
From today I'm definitely always having a plan for the future no matter what and not letting the dust settle.
We need more of these conversations. And she's definitely right, the teacher will find you when u are ready because this just popped up on my feed and damn everything just hit home n made sense n gave me the motivation and direction I need to get up.

I agree when she says networking is one of the things young people should implement because it opens opportunities. I'm in my early 20s and I'm about to do my Work-Based Learning. Me doing an internship at a company does not necessarily garuntee me a permanent job so my plan is to do a lot of networking which increases the chances of job opportunities and people that can contribute to my success.

I have learnt a lot of things. I learnt that financial education is very important and you'll dodge a lot of bullets when you know the basics.
Thanks a lot Dennis and Hot girl Nicci
