Oh man, I love that phone book idea. Somebody should contact him and try to get this thing made! I can see it now. His first solo album! "Jack White Sings the Phone Book"! =D
not only can i imagine how you felt, i know EXACTLY how you felt. i've seen them 3 times already this year, and i'm seeing them again in september. i think you would agree with me that experiencing the Raconteurs live....well, you can't really put it into words. truly amazing.
@Axesss It's a gretsch in a limited edition color from a couple years back. Jack had his favorite luthier make it a double cutaway, install a green bullet harmonica mic that runs through his amp, and wire in an mxr micro amp to the middle pickup so he could get more overdrive just from the guitar by adding that pickup.
I think the best thing to do is figure out how to play the album version, get what distortion/fuzz pedal jack or brenden uses, and come up with your own guitar solo since there isn't a tab for this song live yet online. it's kickass and Jack White is a GENIUS.
It's from their first album, Broken Boy Soldier, I'm sure it's on itunes. However, the album version is much shorter and features backwards vocals instead of the guitar solos.
well i know his creativity got him to where he is right now hes not a shredder, he cant play fast, but theres a difference between playing fast and being original and jack white is one of the most original guitarists youll ever hear granted a lot of people dont like his style, and i respect your opinion, but i think i speak for everyone on this page by saying jack white is a god
God, why can't the people in the crowd shut up when the band stops playing for a second. Silence in a song can be just as important and meaningful as sound.
@abarbosa522 That's interesting. Because the people who get on my nerves are the ones who blow other peoples' posts way out of proportion. So yeah, I think you should just let it go and calm down.
he's made it farther than youll ever be
his minimalistic guitar playing is amazing
Best ten minutes and fifty-four seconds of my life.
Jeeze, what I wouldn't do to time travel back to 2008 to see this live.
Best Performance of Blue Veins Ive seen. Absolutely Breath Taking.
my favorite video on youtube. by far.
this is their best song

@Axesss im pretty sure its a grestch, but not the silver one, this ones a custom one with a built in voice distortion thing
@ajesusgoat good shout, man knows his music
@ironwall666 You're exactly right, but he still does a damn good job of impressing us anyway!!
I really like the part between 0:00 to 10:54 .
@goblu22816 You can find live recordings of many songs on their website. There are a bunch of awesome recordings of this song.
@Ka1idurga He's incredible live, I highly suggest it
sant d var den beste konserten på hove 08 ;P
Here is a hint for you folks. This song is in Fmajor/Dminor. :3
@zdzdrumz Funny you should say that, his style has influenced me tremendously. Especially the traditional grip.
such an awesome guitar (jack's i mean)
It's from their first album, Broken Boy Soldier, I'm sure it's on itunes. However, the album version is much shorter and features backwards vocals instead of the guitar solos.
2020 it is now a show stopper! in croy able!
holy fucking shit, this is fantastic!
about 9.00 he looks so wasted ! He's such a genius. I love that guy. He deserves to be more famous in France.
pro trick: you can watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching loads of movies during the lockdown.
@Ira Christian yup, been using Flixzone for since december myself :)
@Ira Christian Definitely, been using Flixzone for months myself =)
It gets on our nerves when we listen at home, but if I was there in the crowd I'd also be screaming my a** out!!
fucking awsome.
first solo break sounds like instinct blues when its about to rev up.
Around 6:10 it sounds like Instinct Blues by The White Stripes :D
after watching that video...my soul now belongs to jack white. and i don't mind at all.
@algrand90
now theres a supergroup! :p
Sweet 240p goodness
well i know
his creativity got him to where he is right now

jack eff'in' rulz!!!
@ironwall666 YES SO TRUE!
sorry if I offend anyone, but.... "SIIIIIINCE I'VE BEEEN LOVIN' YOOOU YEEEAAH!"
Jerry Garcia / Grateful Dead vibe on the intro jam
light a cigarette after have had sex, and listening to it: PERFECTION
During the huge pregnant pause I just kept thinking, "I wanna hear it! What the hell are you still hearing in your head Jack?! I wanna hear!"
OMFG I HAVE TO CHANGE MY PANTS NOW
Whoa! When he just stops playing and is standing there... I... I... I don't know what to say. (fans self)
I wouldnt say ONLY. He may well be the best, but Tom Morello and even John Mayer are great
@zdzdrumz it's not traditional, it's just french. the german or american ones are just as traditional.
@moskvamarit LUCKY!!!!!
Does anyone know if this song is off of a CD or if you can buy it on iTunes?
i've seen a video of a steve vai interview and he said he has been listening to jack white and that he thinks he is one of the best these days.
gli anni 60-70 non sono morti
Eargasm
I'm gonna play music like this...when i'm famous like Jack....only better =)
God, why can't the people in the crowd shut up when the band stops playing for a second. Silence in a song can be just as important and meaningful as sound.
I take back my statement it is actually in A minor/ C major! whoops.
@tearsp07 because it's true? Yeah I love Jack White too, but he may as well join a Led Zep tribute sometimes :)
nah, just kidding, he's great
is he drinking beer at the start?
@abarbosa522 That's interesting. Because the people who get on my nerves are the ones who blow other peoples' posts way out of proportion. So yeah, I think you should just let it go and calm down.
@ironwall666 I only know of White and Neil Young who can do it..
Why didnt they record it like this? I dont like the recorded version.. :|
i would add dereck trucks and john frusciante
if you have emotion inside you that you want to get out, get an electric guitar, whack the volume on full, and attempt to play this! :D
I'm not exactly flaccid.
This has 46,000 views and Gotye's generic-assed Somebody That I Used To Know has 264,000,000. Meh.
John Frusciante?
1 person is missing ears
I pooed
@renfieldvonklauss get high, right now.
not really man it dont really matter how you hold your sicks just as long you feel it !!! more then one way to skin a cat lol
Does it irritate anyone else that the crowd gets so bloody loud in the middle of the song? I mean, just shut up, for God's sake!
