    With the Fed cutting interest rates by 50 bps, what do you think will happen to the stock market? My portfolio has performed exceptionally well this year, but I am concerned about the possibility of a market crash and losing my gains though but, it's all on a brighter and splurging side for Gold, should I look that way?

    • @rogerwheelers4322

      Gold and Silver are often seen as a safe-haven asset that can protect against inflation and economic uncertainty. But like any investment, it carries risks. To determine if gold is the right investment option for you, an investment advisor can help you weigh the potential benefits and risks of investing in gold. They can also help you create a well-diversified portfolio that includes gold as part of a broader investment strategy. An investment advisor can help you decide how much of your portfolio should be allocated to gold and select other investments that can complement your gold holdings.

    • @joshbarney114
      @joshbarney114 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      Investing in gold is a reliable choice, and I plan to keep buying more to make up for my losses. While silver is also a good investment, my collectibles are not as similar. It's important to have clear investment goals and educate yourself on the type of investment that interests you. I work with a financial consultant regulated by the SEC, and started small, but eventually accumulated over $800,000.

    No doubt a 50 basis point rate cut is in order, inflation is a killer for the middle and lower class. Monetary policy decisions should prioritize economic stability for the working class, not cater to wall street’s big boys and politics.

      My concern is where we will begin to see the effect of these cuts, is housing going to follow suit? I missed out on my dream home during the pandemic, I am now all eyes and ears for a further decline in mortgage rates.

    • @FranciszekPawal

      Further decline? This is the reason I had wanted to refinance in the 1st quarter according to our budget but my spouse likes the space and the pool. If I go ahead with the plan, I will have over 200k to put in a HYSA as I had initially intended, seeing stocks are very volatile these days and the bond market (10Y) is pricing in the effect of rate cuts by ticking upwards, is it a good time for an average joe to get into the financial markets?

      Consider consulting a financial advisor to protect your retirement savings from inflation. I personally saw my portfolio grow from $750,000 to $1.2 million in 3 years, saving $23,000 in taxes and earning $45,000 in dividends, despite 2.5% annual inflation. A financial advisor can help you rebalance your portfolio, optimize retirement income, and develop a tax-efficient strategy to safeguard your future.

    There is a huge lag between when rate cuts are implemented and the effects are actually felt. Not only that, but rate cuts themselves always happen based on lagging indicators, such as unemployment (unemployment data always lags hiring data since businesses stop hiring before they start firing). This is why rate cuts have almost never successfully prevented a recession. We saw it in '08. The yield curve uninverted, the fed cut rates, the markets surged for a bit based on false hope and reality set in soon after as the bad unemployment data caught up to the bad hiring data and it was armageddon from there. Anyone feeling the impact of these economic shifts should consider Crypto long-term trading strategies to protect their assets. My advice to anyone feeling the heat in this inflation, just trade long term more than ever, I have made over 720k from day trading with Aria cookings in few weeks, this is one of the best medium to backup your assets incase it goes bearish..

    Full on panic. BOC knows they have an economy flushing into the toilet with a real estate sector that’s been run into the stratosphere. And now rates are dropping like a rock, Federal govt cutting immigration rapidly, developers saying they can’t build (which means mass layoffs)…. This all means a bigger correction is coming. At 13 times the ratio between home prices and wages is unsustainable.

    Tiff is making a big mistake. Again!. He will cause uncontrollable inflation. Again! The problem is not interest rates but wild fiscal spending by the government, excessive expansion of the government bureaucracy and lack of effective controls on the five main banks that all have special incentives to promote low interest rates. The bond rates are increasing in the US in order to save the USD as the reserve currency. After the November 5th election bond rates will keep moving up and unless Tiff responds accordingly our CND will tank. And that would be disastrous. Good luck Tiff.
