Well 8 years late to the party.... I was checking out a DY tune and was saying to myself "where did I see that guy before" simple google search and boom, found this, glad I did. Solid rick song, killer riffs. Saved to favorites
Great tune and video...thanks for remembering those who fought to keep us free! My Dad served in WWII! BTW, love Night Ranger and all your stuff as well...
Great Job today at the RNC JACK!!! :) :D Yeaaaaa! FREEDOM + TROOPS! God Bless our troops and thank you, JB for this tribute to the Greatest Generation.
I really love this! One of the things I love about it is that hearing so many familiar influenced. At times it sounds like he's tributing Bon Scott of AC/DC. During the chorus, the beat reminds me a Velvet Revolver song. Jack's vocals during the Interlude remind me of some vocals he did on one of the tracks off of Night Ranger's Neverland. If I listen to it some more I'm sure I'll head more...
I love this hard rock sound - aggressive, driving, intense . Great job on the guitar from Evankovich. Tom from Styx? Are you two still friends? I hope so! This is solid work Mr. Blades.
💡Trivia fact: The medals featured at the end belonged to Jack’s mother’s first husband who died in WWII in the Battle of the Bulge. The framed Western Union telegram was the real bereavement announcement concerning him. Bonus: Jack’s son, Colin Blades, played the main soldier character.
At least they believed they would have served freedom, and this is why all fighting men and women in the world are heroes for me, but what they actually served was just imperialism and enrichment of very few people like bankers and lobbyists and industry owners, because they could only act by the orders of others, not by their free will of changing the world. This is it: our economy spins through war, that opens new markets and gives the system a spin. My beloved Uncle is in the Army, by the way
