Custom bass fishing swim baits. Lady's husband passed, she had them sitting there for $10 each. I bought them all, but I wasn't going to take advantage of her that badly. Gave her $50 a piece. Most were worth over $100, in to the $300-400 range. I also didn't buy them to resell. I fish, so, score!
My mom once found a box full of old pictures that belonged to an astronaut and it turns out that he was one of the people to walk on the moon (not one of the first but still!) and there were original pictures of him in training, on a spaceship and WALKING ON THE MOON. She ended up donating them to a museum but I'm sure they were worth a lot.
Those 78 records are made out of shellac, it’s very easily chipped, cracked, and broken. As a nostalgia piece, they may be worth something, or if you run across a rarity, but most of that music is being archived onto computer files now. There would be more of a hassle to store than they are worth.
Nice video! You actually made a great deal and profit with the computers. Amazon sells them refurbished for about 150 up to 250+, but new, the price skyrockets. Good deals there!
The lady with the depression glass is my neighbor and sold a bunch of sterling silver for 55$ . I had some hand carved wood bowls there and didn’t even know she had it because a guy came by at7:00 and bought it before it opened.
Very nice. Years ago, I went to an estate sale. Found a small silver plate. They ask only $1 for it. Bought it and took it to the antiques road show, They said it's sterling silver made in Great Britain in the late 1800's. Worth about $125. Also, at another estate sale, Bought a 1970's Hot Wheels 12 count case with 10 Redlines. Only paid $5. All together, case and the Redlines, it was over $600
Those office/warehouse sales are awesome. I've found several Herman Miller and Steelcase chairs for very cheap, they sell for anywhere from $500-$1500 new.
That’s really awesome of you to teach people how to find out what their stuff is worth. That shows you have a good heart. You taught me how to pan for gold and I have been just going nuts and I am extremely good at it now. Thanks to you.🇺🇸🦅
I live in Bendigo Victoria Australia, behind my house is old Chinese diggings, there was an old tiny house on the block behind my house. The guy down the the road was a geologist for a mining company, he to me Jo to the road (entry to the diggings) we dug a 30 cm square x 5cm deep and we found gold, so it is everywhere in Bendigo Cynthia
I love, love, love your yard sale Fridays❤ and on my birthday to boot😊My husband and I need to get out and yard sale and metal detect more when it's not so hot outside. Happy hunting.
Great job! Glad to see thses again. I do not really yard sale. However, I did see a FB post about a 12 in lap saw. $1500 for the saw and a trim saw 2 wheel polisher combo. I offered $1000 for both. Got it. Both work great but I do need to replace shut off switch. Had to add, you are well disciplined. I would have made very low offers and they would have accepted and I eould be spending time hauling and figuring out what to do with it all! So, good job!!!
Love a good sale, an in-person estate sale is always going to be great because sellers are motivated due to life changes and property sale deadlines. Negotiating and buying multiples with a good price is the best.
Mannnn that last one with all the timber 🤤 I haven’t done a garage sale run in ages- I do it the same as you except I start at the one where I see some things I like/want and work out from there. People start way earlier in Australia.. 6am.. and even if you say don’t come before 8am, people still turn up at 6 🙄 yeahhhh so it’s best to turn up early to get the good stuff and late to get the best price 😉
For any of the computers, you need to verify the specifications of the specific devices you have. They could have very different amounts of Memory or HD Space, and a different CPU.
You might want to add a pinpoint blacklight flashlight. Good for finding fluorescing minerals, repaired (glued) items , Vaseline glass which both yellow glass and green glass
Excellent!! I go to a lot of yard sales and thrift stores, (I’m a quilter and crafter) and I have picked up some good ideas from your thrifting videos! Thanks!
Shane you ever messed around with resin with your guitars you build. Like a mixture of wood and resin on the body? Even those ones with cracks running though them can be filled with different color resin. I think it would look cool.
Yeah unfortunately that made this video copyright strike and will not be monetized. Doesn't matter though the computers are selling like crazy right now on eBay
Man looks like Colorado yard sales or where it's at anytime I pull up to one of our yard sales around me I got to park a quarter mile away because all the people😂
I always look for jewelry, so many people put silver and gold jewelry in with costume jewelry, especially if it's a broken necklace or a ring with missing stones.
i work at a scrapyard and do my share of scavenging through the stuff that comes in. i just grabbed a whole box of 78 phono needles still in the packaging
I like that you didn't buy everything you saw. I don't buy anything I don't need or want to store.. liked the video, and a little research goes a long way. Later.
Did I hear you say that Dale Earnhardt is a good buy? I have lots of cars and misc. items. I did so an ebay search a couple of years ago, not worth it to me. I have many cassettes with music on them. Not sure if I have any blank ones. I also have a large tub of Hallmark christmas ornaments. I don't go to the sales anymore bc I need to get rid of things. I love your yard sales and estates too. Glad to see you're still around and enjoying life. Take care, my friend! Many fond memories of your videos. 🤗🤗
Since watching these, I've been collecting the radioactive orange ceramics as well th-cam.com/video/7d9PsuyNC8U/w-d-xo.html & th-cam.com/users/shorts-e5Z36WrGMo?feature=share
Love these sort of vids and the outdoor prospecting ones! What’s the Google app you use that tells you what things are worth? I’ve never heard of anything like that
Google app for iPhone (probably android too) has a small icon on the right in th le search bar. It uses the camera to search for items online, showing the possible value as well. Always use eBay after to find the sold value though
Man I would have bought every one of those PCs for that price. I am a computer engineer at a hospital and we bought that same model Dell 3080 and I can tell you it cost us $645.00 just for the PC. If that is new. I would definitely go back. Update: Sorry I didn't see at the time that you had went back and got more of them. I was watching and commenting in and out of watching this. You got some get profit there. You need to check those prices again on the PCs. Used is going for $200.00. Yours is new in box and they are going between $400-$500 each . I think they would fly out the door at $450.00 for the PCs. The Monitors are 18" so I would price them cheaper cause people are wanting larger monitors now a days.
Shane, would some pieces of ebony roughly 5"x2"x¼" be of any use to you? They are over cuts from fingerboard blanks. Maybe for inlay or something? I have an absolute shitton.
What's the best or most valuable thing you've found at a yard sale?
Phillipe Patek watch for less than 10 bucks is my best find so far.

So would 87,000 new & armed IRS agents......haha

I'd bet there were some valuable decks of playing cards in one of the boxes you passed over at the house with the 78s. Great video, Shaun! Thanks!
Always enjoy the yard sale vids. Thanks Shane! 🍻 42%

Really good score for those yard sales. Thanks for the video.
The yard sale treasure map still works!! Tons in your area for Saturday!!
The record are made off shellac. The old timer finisher would melt it down with alcohol and use it as their black finish’s.
Nice score Shane! I love the yard sales. Too bad the wood pile didn't work out!
I found an older bulova watch for a dollar. It’s worth a couple hundred. I just wear it because it looks cool.
Good to see you back Shane.

I once found a whole booklet of these rare photos from Hiroshima right after they dropped the bomb. It was crazy ..
keep in mind you found an optiplex 3080 sff (small form factor) it may be worth more or less than the atx model
I just sat back and enjoyed your video. Big treasures are not to be expected at flea markets. Still good buy !
We just moved to a new town in Central Texas. Need to get out sometime and see what people offer out here.
