I think Cameron would LOVE the Spoorweg Museum in Utrecht. It's a museum about the railway history in the Netherlands, and it's made for kids like him!

Your son would definitely love the spoorwegmuseum also in Utrecht. All about trains there, maybe a nice thing to do in the summer break...

That must have been great fun.
Maybe take the steamtrain hoorn Medemblik and then the boat to Enkhuizen.
There is also het Zuiderzee museum.
Maybe to much for 1 day but it's worth it.
So much todo so much to explore.

It was a really fun day!
Thanks for the recommendation, Jereon! We'll definitely have to check that out now that summer break is around the corner.

Misschien is het openlucht museum in Arnhem ook wel leuk om een keer te bezoeken.
Leer je ook een beetje over de historie van Nederland.
Mijn kinderen waren er klein dol op.
Nu gaan we er eens per jaar met z'n allen nog eens heen.
Gewoon om er heerlijk te wandelen en te kijken,

Fun video as always, ty for it!;-)
I'd really love to hear your impressions on different attractions/visits to Dutch sites. Would be wonderful to hear from your perspective. From the Hanzesteden to the Openluchtmuseum in Arnhem or the castle of Haarzuilen, slot Loevestein etc. I know the Efteling is on your list; a running commentary on all aspects of it would be a treat;-)
Also, your little one might enjoy Naturalis in Leiden. It has dinosaurs as one of its exhibits. First get a museumjaarkaart though (also valid for certain castles, openluchtmuseum, zuidermuseum etc. ergo it saves money) & enjoy!

There's a steam train in North Holland that has a daily schedule from Hoorn to Medemblik, which includes a connecting boat ride to Enkhuizen.
Look up Stoomtram Hoorn, it's great for kids.
Edit: looks like someone already commented :)

When you see double oo in Dutch,.. like stoom, you pronounce it like you would tome with an s, so stome. The oe combo is pronounced like oo in the English word spook or book, the latter which is spelled as boek in Dutch. Unless you speak the dialect from Zeeland I think. I think that might be the easiest dialect for English speakers. It lacks the UI sound as well as far as i'm aware.
