I love the demon backstories. They're not there to necessarily make you forgive the demons, but to make you understand that often times humans are the true monsters that push others to become demons.
I see it as Muzan is targeting broken people. Is he trying to suppress some guilt by telling himself that he is saving these people he turns to demons because they were suffering as humans?
It's crazy when you look at the parallels between Tanjiro and Gyuutaro: Two caring big brothers who look after their little sisters and carry them on their backs. One raised with love, the other raised with hate. Both who were away when disaster struck. One who was saved by a Hashira, the other who was saved by a Demon.
I mean they were both raised with, love But gyutaro wanted his sister to live a better life That’s why you see in the afterlife gyutaro purposely says too his sister to stop following him around and wants her to go to heaven and he goes to hell but his sister didn’t leave him

Also I should tell you why Daki stabbed the samurai since the anime didn't but the manga did. You see the samurai was client and since this is the red light district it's implied that Daki was about to be prostituted at 13 years old to him. But the man talked about her brother and disrespected him and well....she stabbed him in the eye. And if you remember her fight with Nezuko when she screamed in the flame, Daki has a big fear of fire because she was set on fire.
Notice how everything that Gyutaro's calling himself he called Tanjiro. So it wasn't only Tanjiro that saw himself in Gyutaro, it was Gyutaro being angry at his past self and taking it out on Tanjiro (seeing himself in him) Also, how heartbreaking is "I felt as all of the world abuse and insults were crafted specifically for me." line?

When she burned Rui's threads, when she burned Enmu's Blood Demon Art on Mugen Train, when she burned the body of Daki, when she burned the last attack of Gyutaro, when she burned the poison of Gyutaro, All are the same Blood Demon Art .

Many reactors fail to understand that Nezuko's blood demon art only harms demons everything - demon blood art, demons, demon threads, demon poison and not the humans. In the first hinokami debut episode Rui (lower rank demon 5) mentioned it that Nezuko's blood demon art only harms demons and their attacks and Tanjiro was not even scratched in that fire. Also In the Mugen train arc Nezuko's blood demon art even broke Lower rank demon 1's dream cords that were tied to hands of Tanjiro and others and did not burn any parts of their hands. In the Entertainment District Arc she burned Daki, Gyutaro's blood sickles and Gyutaro's poison without harming Tanjiro, Uzui and Inosuke.
Fyi Nezuko has a single demon ability: "Exploding Blood", which is strictly anti-demon. I believe it originates from her subconcious will to protect humans along with the drug Tamayo gave her to "see all humans as family". We saw her first use it in episode 19 when she burned Rui's spider webs, and when she burned Enmu's magic ropes on the Mugen Train. At the same time she also set the boys on the fire and they were completely unscathed. Then we saw her light Daki on fire a few episodes ago, burned half her face and triggered her trauma of fire as we caught a glimpse of her human memory of being burned alive. In this episode, Nezuko is simply countering Gyuutarou's blood demon art; burning up his Blood blades, as well as burning his blood demon art (aka poison) out of the Demon Slayers' bodies. Dont misunderstand, she cant heal them and they are still injured af.
DAKI and GYUTARO's fathers are probably not the same. Brothers with different fathers. The two mothers died of natural causes of the venereal disease "Syphilis". Flies are gathering in the first scene of GYUTARO's Back Story shortly after DAKI's neck disappears, but it's probably the corpse of his dead mother. Even after he died, GYUTARO couldn't handle it, and he probably left it for a while. "Syphilis" is the Japanese name for "BAIDOKU" and is written as "Plum poison". The real name of DAKI is "UME". I feel like Nezuko, as if opposing all other demons, have powers that remember Amaterasu, the japanese goddess of the sun. Fire also being a symbol of Amaterasu. In the beginning of the episode, Nezuko flying in the sky and lighting up the night with her power, purifying everything that was released by demons, looks quite like a goddess to me.
I think Obanai (serpent hashira) was just occupied with other tasks before coming to see Uzui, hence the delay/being late. Each hashira is responsible for different areas/regions, and they're usually pretty busy. To get from their area of responsibility to another must take some time.
Demon Slayer is the first and only anime I've properly watched and I did not know what I was signing up for, making me cry for demons and shit but it was just so so good. Roll on S3!
I believe that Rengoku's father is going to come out of retirement to honor his son and mother of his kids to finish out Rengoku's service until it's completely finished...it's just a super strong feeling I have since we seen a taste of how badazz Rengoku's father was in season 2 episode 1 backflash scene..and if that doesn't happen that would be the biggest wasted opportunity in anime history ever 🤞

Honestly, season 2 kimetsu no yaiba in my opinion is not better than season 1 for me season 1 is the best, even Mugen Train which is for me is not good, is better than Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2. Note: "This response is little bit long" So what's the reason I say that?, first of all I've watched a lot of anime from the worst to the best, that's why I'm rally sensitive to a story given by an anime or a movie. I want to give a clear picture so that you can understand what I feel, I really don't like it when creators not appreciate to the characters that their make, all the built up in season 1 kimetsu no yaiba for me is useless why?, let's see, hashira in this case if you watched the first season you would know how they introduced all the hashira's characters, there's a feeling like everything will be okay, because for me this bunch of weird people is really strong characters, But everything changed when the fire nation attacked, yes after i watch mugen train i'm confused how do I react to Kyojuro Rengokuos death, for me it's more sad when tanjiro have a dream that shows all his family is still alive and that scene is really made me cry than Kyojuro Rengoko's death. the reason is because the built up from season 1, I feel more real sadness to Tanjiro in that movie, the problem of the Mugen train is, we don't know anything yet about the character of kyojuro rengoko, Yes indeed we are given the opportunity to know the character, but at the end the character die!, we not ready for that especially me, and come on he is an hashira, he is the strongest, at least end with injuries, don't end with death!. Now we're movin to season 2, first episode to the mid episode is good but the final round for me is not good, the phase is too fast and come on this is a series you can do more, for example Jujutsu Kaisen this anime has a fast phase too, but somehow they can manage to build up really well, is really piss me off when i saw their downgrade the hashira again, not only that, remember when i say that I really don't like when creators not appreciate to the characters that their make?, that thing is really happen here, they overdo it making their characters suffer, that's the point their overdo it, and what annoys me even more?, story formulas like this are always solved in a very strange way, in this case out of nowhere Nezuko can heal everybody!, come on since when you can do that Nezuko?, is this anime logic?, of course not! this is because their not appreciate to the characters that their make, they can make all the characters suffer and even die easily like thanos snap, but on the other hand they can fix easily all the problem, like a teenage girl open an onlyfans (easy money), not only that in the end is time to feel bad for the villain, this is worked quite well in season 1 but in season 2, I don't feel bad at all. Last but not least, to be honest there's a good point too, the fight scene, and the animation is great.
Probably my biggest complaint about this episode was the nezuko save at the start. They glossed over that so fast and it was literally only 3 seconds. They could have taken the opportunity to give her a slight struggle and to make it more epic. Instead you somehow have a fully recovered nezuko jump out the box, completely cancel out that massive attack instantly without breaking a sweat despite her being in a weakened state. :/

Honestly, season 2 kimetsu no yaiba in my opinion is not better than season 1 for me season 1 is the best, even Mugen Train which is for me is not good, is better than Kimetsu no Yaiba season 2.

So what's the reason I say that?, first of all I've watched a lot of anime from the worst to the best, that's why I'm rally sensitive to a story given by an anime or a movie.
I want to give a clear picture so that you can understand what I feel, I really don't like it when creators not appreciate to the characters that their make, all the built up in season 1 kimetsu no yaiba for me is useless why?, let's see, hashira in this case if you watched the first season you would know how they introduced all the hashira's characters, there's a feeling like everything will be okay, because for me this bunch of weird people is really strong characters, But everything changed when the fire nation attacked, yes after i watch mugen train i'm confused how do I react to Kyojuro Rengokuos death, for me it's more sad when tanjiro have a dream that shows all his family is still alive and that scene is really made me cry than Kyojuro Rengoko's death.
the reason is because the built up from season 1, I feel more real sadness to Tanjiro in that movie, the problem of the Mugen train is, we don't know anything yet about the character of kyojuro rengoko, Yes indeed we are given the opportunity to know the character, but at the end the character die!, we not ready for that especially me, and come on he is an hashira, he is the strongest, at least end with injuries, don't end with death!.
Now we're movin to season 2, first episode to the mid episode is good but the final round for me is not good, the phase is too fast and come on this is a series you can do more, for example Jujutsu Kaisen this anime has a fast phase too, but somehow they can manage to build up really well, is really piss me off when i saw their downgrade the hashira again, not only that, remember when i say that I really don't like when creators not appreciate to the characters that their make?, that thing is really happen here, they overdo it making their characters suffer, that's the point their overdo it, and what annoys me even more?, story formulas like this are always solved in a very strange way, in this case out of nowhere Nezuko can heal everybody!, come on since when you can do that Nezuko?, is this anime logic?, of course not! this is because their not appreciate to the characters that their make, they can make all the characters suffer and even die easily like thanos snap, but on the other hand they can fix easily all the problem, like a teenage girl open an onlyfans (easy money), not only that in the end is time to feel bad for the villain, this is worked quite well in season 1 but in season 2, I don't feel bad at all.
Last but not least, to be honest there's a good point too, the fight scene, and the animation is great.

Probably my biggest complaint about this episode was the nezuko save at the start. They glossed over that so fast and it was literally only 3 seconds. They could have taken the opportunity to give her a slight struggle and to make it more epic. Instead you somehow have a fully recovered nezuko jump out the box, completely cancel out that massive attack instantly without breaking a sweat despite her being in a weakened state. :/
She was in that state for so long though..it makes sense that she came out after the fight was finished...it took a long time for the fight to finish!
