Woodworking. How to Make an unusual coffee Table. Part 1

- In this woodworking project, I will show you how to make a table. This will not be an ordinary table. Its design came to me while milling ash with a live edge. We milled this ash with a chainsaw about two years ago (.Logs to Lumber: 200 YEAR OLD TREE. Alaskan Chainsaw Milling) - I'll leave the link below. Two cracks bisected by the slab pushed me towards the unusual design of this live edge coffee table.
For milling, I use a router sled from the TOT company. This router sled is very easy to use and has a good dust extraction system.
For such cracks on the wood, we use bow tie joints , but not this time.
And I will also show how to cut a circle on bandsaw and many other tips and tricks. Enjoy .

Although little bit more labor intensive then to do butterfly joints i would go for this design at sny time. It makes the whole project looks completely unique👌🏼

Hi guys!
How are you doing!
Good to see you!
What,are you making a table?
That looks great!
Order,yeah! That's cool!
I thought those slots would go all
the way through.
And then when you fill them in,
you turn on the light from underneath and fable and the table glows at night! CHEERS!
Thanks for watching. 👍👍👍
I've seen this kind of curved wood inlay before, but it was only inlaid at the ends with the rest of the curve being used to fill in the gap between two bits ... I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this ... I'm certain it'll be fantastic, as usual 👍
Thanks for watching.
If I had a shop like yours, I'd never go to sleep.
It's hard working in my garage with just a table saw and compound miter saw, so I can cut fence boards, window trim and baseboards, and sooo boring.
Super. Ganz tolle Arbeit. Wenn man das entsprechende Holz hat .... Gruß

OH MY GOD!! we need more of the puppy. what is his name?
Nice work. I just wonder why don't use a planner instead of a router for that type o "flattening" tables?
Thank you. You will not be able to level the planer as evenly as the router sled does.
Hi! greetings from Argentina, what kind of wood are you using?
Hi its ash. 👍
😮 🙌
Perfeito 👍👍
Wow very interesting can’t wait to see how you finish it I’m sure it will be just as amazing as the rest of your builds. Also you have a beautiful dog what kind of dog is he?
Thanks for watching.
Was amazed at how little dust came off your slab flattening mill, did you build that yourself, or can someone buy it somewhere?
There are so many incredible craftsmen in Ukraine, and you are definitely on that list!
Thank you. I left a link in the description under the video where you can buy this router.

@@WOODDESIGN6730 Oh thank you very much, working on ordering right now, now I just have to catch up on all your great videos!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Forget the router andinstall an electric hand held planer on your rig and you will have something

The Bandsaw wasn't cheap quality from Austria
😂😂😂😂 if you think that’s a cheap product, everything from communist china is the cheapest in the world!
😅
I think you'd have saved yourself a lot of hassle if you'd steamed those splines.
why are you not wearing safety glasses ? set a better example.
And why don't you write the beginning of the sentence with a capital letter?
only have one hand@@WOODDESIGN6730
Some interesting stuff here BUT sorry to see the live edge go to random smoothed lumpy edge. Opportunity lost.
Looks perfect and the bark would just fall off anyway
Nice...... If you have a zillion $$ workshop. Not for this peon
