@@WOODDESIGN6730our router sled looks very interesting. I'm just wondering why nobody yet (at least I haven't seen) made it CNC-like? It doesn't need to be "controlled " too much, just X+Y steps. Can be done by Arduino I reckon. Btw, why do you use double lammels in the middle? Only like reinforcement?
I love this design, and found this video because I have a customer that wants something similar. I have to ask about the bent wood though, without steaming it, I guess the glued blocks are keeping it in shape when you remove it from the form? Do the three sections with two full pieces of wood glued directly to each other play a role in holding the shape as well? My customer also wants the bench in three pieces, both for transport, and for using either separately or together around a tree, so I suppose I can build them separately, or together then cut them apart. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, beautiful build!
Its nice but it looks like it belongs around a tree with more seating on the outside rather than the inside. But the build is pleasing to the eyes. Thanks for sharing
Great piece, I love bent wood. In New Zealand we do not have access to ash. I am surprised that it will bend that easily with no special preperation, like steaming, or did I miss something?
