Right, she needs a outlet and a way to process her grieving as well. She's under alot of pressure as she's supporting her husband and family. I don't think he's selfish, I think in the moment he's grieving also and just feels like he's all alone in this situation. I pray they make it through everything and consider counseling.

Sana omg this is so true. There are moms who actually want their son to be with many women even when their son is married. I think in a way it is to ensure that his relationships fail so that she will never be alone. That’s why it’s good for some women to have their own husband so that their son won’t become a surrogate husband.
My mother-in-law/love has always supported me and been on my husband the same way as Tommy's mom...I so appreciate that bcz she cud easy jus sit back and watch things go out of control. She not bias and I let her knw I appreciate our genuine relationship.

Tommy, death is merely just and interruption in life. I lost my Mom in 2014 and we had a discussion. She didn’t want to die. But she knew the truth about the first resurrection that we will meet again. It’s how you live your life will determine how you will see her again. There are only 2 options. Matthew 24 clearly gives you truth. The Bible from Genesis to Revelation gives you truth. It all depends which you believe. Read the Bible for yourself and read the truth. Will invite you to go on TH-cam and search IOG2020 and pick a lesson. Now the rest is up to you.

Seeing this video reminded me why its easier for women to heal after trauma or tragedy, and thats because we tend to share our feelings. Latoya came outa that session less burdened than Tommy, because men are conditioned to think its not manly to cry and share. Very sad indeed. He cries every night and is clearly in pain. I wish he could just share what he feels deep inside him for the healing to begin.
That's because men are logical and women are emotional... women say what they feel men say what they think😔

At this point I respectfully disagree. Our community has no real example of how to cope, mourn or how to be a supportive spouse. This may be a piece of their ministry. As long as it doesn’t go left because of the cameras their journey can help us all. K Harvey me too, only insecure people think the quick solution when things get tough is to get a divorce! That’s not always the answer if you are compatible and go through a rough patch (death in family, children rebelling having issues in school or socially, financial set backs ect). Especially if your spouse has always been dependable, respectful and caring. Don’t give up! I’m so glad Latoya is recognizing that they need therapy. Tommy is a “man’s man” , very strong and masculine doesn’t want his pain conceived as being “weak” like so many black men are taught. But I believe he truly loves Latoya and wants to be a good husband and father. He just needs help dealing with his grief and pain. Marriage is a partnership, we build and hold each other up. It is not easy, yes there will be ups & downs but u can make it together if both learn how to work their issues together. Most of the time it’s communication, some battles are not worth fighting about, life is too short. I know I have been married for 35 years! I believe this lovely couple will get through this tough time together, it takes work and dedication! God bless this family.

I totally understand letoya, my husband lost his 2 brothers and a baby teenage niece within 3 month's then 5 years later he lost another brother to suicide this man has been extreme strong, I've been the one holding him down somedays i just jold his hand, hold him and let him know it's okay to cry i was 7 months pregnant with our 1st son when he lost his brother to suicide i couldn't even cry or act hurt because i didn't wanna worry him at all i just cried later on that evening to bed. I needed to see this video and I wilk share it with my siblings. My mother passed away in November last year after 2-3 weeks of being hospitalized she was gone. We were and still are shocked. We are all in our 20s and she was the only one we had left. Our dad died in 2011 and now 8 years later mom too. It's hard not to have your parents at any age. I thank God our mother was a prayer warrior and taught us the importance or serving The Lord. Support through the grieving process is so important. It takes a toll on relationships of all kinds. Praying for The Lord to keep this 3 fold cord together. God alone is the one we all need.

They should seek for real counseling from certified/degreed therapists. I talk to my priest about things, but he will certainly direct me to trained professional as pastoral care and therapy are not the same.

I know it’s hard to lose a mom!! I lost my mother it’s extremely hard truly only God can see you through it. It is good to look to God and seek him!!! It’s natural to feel grief and sorrow but believe me you guys can make it though!! it’s been five years and I am stronger than I was. Everyone grieves different but seek God and spiritual healing through the word, fasting, and prayer. I found healing through God and his son Jesus Christ I still miss mother and sometimes feel sad/cry but things can get better you won’t forget your loved one but you will find out how to move forward. Let God heal your heart it’s a process.
Remember Acts 2:38 and John 3 this is salvation. Get in a REAL bible based Church and a pastor who teaches the truth not a pastor who does what they want. Be aware of tv preachers they water down the Gospel! But I wish you guys the best ! May God bless you

I see why it’s important to heal from your personal demons. If you don’t heal from traumatic issues then you will carry it into your relationship.
I think all celebrities need to keep their relationship out the public eye.
I love their genuine honesty with their situation. Pain inside of grief runs so deep, because you feel so helpless and wonder what more could you have done to contribute to your loved ones and things you wished you could have said to them. I'm happy their using their resources of family, friends and spiritual advisers to help guide them through this process. I wish them both the best.

This is a very unhealthy marriage. Telling yourself constantly that you are ok when your partner is tearing away at you mentally and emotionally only makes things worse for you. That pain just gets suppressed and kills you day by day inside while you put up a front for him.
