I'm a guitar player who plays covers with different bands. Can't stress enough the importance of these cheat sheets. The best thing about it is there is no general rule, you can come up with your own symbols or words to guide you through. What matters is that you can read it on the fly. Great video lesson mate!

Hey Glen! Dave the guitar player from Chicago (but also from being blown away by your playing with the Volto! guys at the Baked Potato) here. Thank you so much for posting this, and looking forward to more in the future!
I have been transcribing guitar parts for students for decades now and I love seeing how other musicians go about notating things. What caught my eye on the video thumbnail was the use of the highlighter. I am SO stealing that simple but great idea for my charts. Thank you!

Thank You!!!!!! I could hear the first two symmetrical beats but couldn't grasp what was going on with rushing the kick then laying back on the 3rd beat, even after listening to this song (which I think is his best) a hundred times.

What metronome app were you using? Any other apps you use iPad or laptop in your learning of songs?
