How feasible would it be to have your original chromed by a professional model maker. With all the new super shiny paints and skill might be a nice surprise.
I pulled the trigger and got this one! Thanks for a great review, as always. The height difference does not bother me as much as it should I guess. With my Mark III - I keep the legs dropped down to help increase the height. I do wish the torso section was like this one though, seems like a nice improvement!
Ouch, very disappointing, I expected a bigger improvement on the same level as the recent die-cast Mk6. So it's basically the old unleashed mould + some tweaks but now in die-cast? Just hope that a future HT version of the Mark 3 will have completely revised (in scale) mould that will be in line with the new die-cast MK 4, 5, 6 & 7
I think they released this figure for 2018 to commemorate the ten year anniversary of Iron Man. I mean it's a great figure and I can't wait to get mine. I have the Mark 3 Diecast and it never grew old for me so I'm assuming this one will be timeless as well.

Great review, again, Danoby. Yet again, Hot Toys does an amazing job with the Iron Man line. That figure looks to have a great shine to it, a beautiful figure. You still keeping your “baby” or are you going to be selling the old MkII? I’ve purchased many figures since, but I still have and love the DX01 (my first HT figure). Hey Danoby2 it's funny I won $300 on a scratch off ticket and was gonna get the Mark 4 Diecast so my grandma catches me just about to order it and she's all like, "hold it son, wouldn't you rather have an exciting action figure?" And I'm like sure! So she makes me pick the Mark 2. I think she wanted it for herself only because it's different with the silver. She says the Tony Stark helmet is the only reason why the figure is exciting. She also said this one to her stands out. I'll tell her your thoughts on it.
Why dont you just keep your old mark 2 you sound really attached to it, i like tye whole walkthru feature you did🤣🤣 but if any figure needs to be made again the MARK3 definitely should be redesigned i love the diecast one cuz im a big fan but it should be maybe after a couple years
This is one of the most disappointed Diecast hall of armour from HT. IMO HT is so lazy and nothing much had been improved in this figure. I like the unleash version at least I can display it as an unleash format. This new diecast Mark 2 almost like a statue for me

Nope, never had a battery leak issue. Perhaps because I live in a desert?
