Yes Nita I have deal with feeling ashamed of myself foe life choices I have made in my past. I had to forgive myself and now God is blessing me. God loves you and I love you too. Give yourself Grace beautiful one.
Nita, thank you for this word today. Many times, God speaks to us through others. As I navigate a rocky relationship with my 23 year old daughter, due to whatever she is dealing with, I have to give myself grace that I was a pretty darn good parent, not perfect. I continue to pray that He order my 4 daughters’ and my footsteps and continue growing me as a parent and His vessel .❤
It is so refreshing to discover mom's who mom like me! 😂 Because I was (and still am a sinner), I had a child outside of marriage, but God also presented this as an opportunity to be a generational curse breaker, and I AM SO GLAD that I have taken my motherhood journey seriously and with much introspection because as a result, it is reflected in my daughter, and in my healing. Now, she is more than well equipped to continue changing the trajectory of our family experience. It is the feelings of shame & guilt that we have to move past because I had my marriage/kid vision board in my head, but God had other plans. Thank you for sharing your story! 🙏🏾❤️💪🏾

Hi Nita, I just want to thank you for sharing what's on your heart and what the holy spirit shared with you. It was is healing for me as I try this new journey of trying to stop condemning myself. I cried because the way I hold shame and myself accountable, to anyone else I would have told them to be kind to themselves but since its me and I hold myself to such unrealistic standards at times I also break my own heart when I fall short. Happy Holidays to you, your family, and your daughter ❤ I can relate to not being able to forgive yourself, I did something that was very shameful… I won’t mention it but I still feel to this day God is going to punish me for it, eventho, I’ve asked for forgiveness but don’t feel like he will forgive me. Which I know scripture tells me otherwise but I feel like that mainly bc I can’t bring myself to forgive me. You made me realize that’s exactly how I feel. I like that you reminded us that no one is perfect… God is the only one that is perfect and that no matter how I try I can’t do anything to receive gods love, grace, n favor… it’s given to me as a gift from God. Sometimes I need to sit and spend time with God bc I don’t n I want to hear from him but I don’t take the time to sit in his presence n listen. Whew chile! That was a word! 😂 Nita! Girl, you’re not old by no means… I got grey hair all thru my head, I started getting gray hair early but now that I’m 42 they have popped out even more! I won’t color my hair so I’ll just be salt n pepper… my grandmother was like that. That instrumental playing while you were doing your makeup was everything! ❤ The photos are so cute 🥰

Yes women of color take alot of criticism, but honestly, I've gotten it more from women of color then other races, and that is truly sad, im praying that we come together, to love and support each other nor whatever we're facing, even when we disagree, we can still respect each other.
Other races talk n smirk just not to your face because of the social climate. Passive aggressive mess. Other women of color, I think say crap because they are your race n feel comfortable. You know what I mean. I'm not ashamed to say girl you wearing that n mean it...encourage yourself is real not just a song. Be blessed😊
I am not one of the saints, and I am not religious either, but most of the shame you are carrying about (single) motherhood does not belong to you. it belongs to patriarchy and sexism. it belongs to those who shame black mothers for parenting a child by themselves. i hope you ae able to recognize that that shame is reinforced by the patriarchal conditions we live with.
