I filmed the moon pool when I was on the Corcovado up in the arctic about 10 years ago. We was in a storm & there was some very impressive swells, sea water was firing up 30 to 40 ft
Wave generator attachment or adapted around the edges or even when not in use not just for rigs but the the sea and the forces Un- tapped energy for when tapping into energy and RND
can anyone explain to me how a moonpool works, i mean yeah its a hole under the water, but how would it work, if you are like, deep underwater, like in that one movie with underwater aliens, wouldnt the pressure difference flood the entire base?
I love this video, must have watched it 20 times over the last 6 or so years :) Thanks for sharing!
Oh god imagine falling into that
First thing i thought. Submechanophobia kicking the hell off. Video was terrifying.
@Sk3LmZ
I feel much better after seeing your comment, terrifying is the exact same word I used to describe it, lmao
Welp. Tonight's nightmare is set.
@@skelmz1 I have added this to my already long list of phobias!
Lol I was imagining diving into it
Man the new subnautica update really made things go downhill

That’s a big square of “HELL NO”
how on earth the drill string does not break, I'm amazed.
that looks terrifying. just the thought of jumping down there your thrown
around by waves and your aboving billions of meters of unknown waters.
Drillship West Navigator.

I wonder why it is called a moon pool
That is one scary sight
If this is the moonpool I don't wanna see the sunpool.
What is the differents in meters from low to high?
1,5 - 2 meters.
h2o just add water is lookin a little different
I don't know what I'm looking at, but it's terrifying. 😕
Show us the modification station
Bruh
imagine the boat hitting a wave u get knocked into that thing and drown to death

It’s on a ship, so it’s not underwater. That’s just the natural waterline.
air pressure can keep water out
but yes this is on a ship
'The Abyss', excellent movie, 👌
A moonpool was used in old diving bells that werent pressurized, so as pressure rose, the water would too.
So is this in a sub?
Wow! Be careful with that sea
my personal nightmare
i want to see what would happen if u put a basketball in there
Interesting
Yeah so anyway, thanks for triggering my submechonophobia
woah!
Can you fish in the moon pool?
No.
@ why not?
@@christophersimms9128its forbidden lol. Safety reasons, isnt it obvious?
