It’s not exactly that. His moves are diverse and easy to understand. His combos require some good timings and setup but nothing impossible. But his overall playstyle is hard to master, especially since to deal big damage meterless, you got to do reads and get a counter hit to open good combo routes. Sol is the best first character to play as cause he will teach to play to the game by forcing to adapt to the pace of the fight. You get rewarded by massive damage output when you both do reads, get close and counter hit. At this moment, people fear him. If you want a character similar easier to win with, I would say Ky. Although Ky doesn’t get has much benefits as Sol from counter hits and doesn’t have much combo extender tools, He’s much much safer, has range, can zone, and has really fast attacks and recoveries.
Very useful video bro I've been playing Sol for a month (as well as the game as a whole) and haven't won a single match yet lol
Gonna keep it simple: VOLCANA VIPUR
This video is literally me whenever I try to play Strive. I'm going to use the term "dogwalked for two rounds" whenever I lose from now on haha
