This is an upload of a Twitch stream on making a simple building for OMSI, from start to finish - not a particularly well thought out tutorial as I did it on the fly, but hopefully some of you may find it useful. It assumes some very, very basic level of Blender ability.
I realise looking back at the video that I forgot to mention a few things as I did them, do if you spot anything mention it and I'll annotate it in.
For more advanced Blender tutorials, I usually point people to: www.44090digita... - the first and second tutorials are for an old version of Blender but are very comprehensive, the third tutorial you can ignore altogether and the fourth tutorial applies the first two to the current version of Blender, as well as having a few more tricks and tips.
I'd also strongly recommend you take your own photos instead of using pictures taken from Streetview. I used streetview pictures as a demonstration here as it's readily accessible and it demonstrates the principle well enough.

would you mind doing a video on how to create hills so that they look like they do IRL and how to deal with creating gradient changes on a map

Simplest way to do this is to keep backup copies of your maps and leave OMSI as one install. Other than that, cracking tutorial!

That works if you're just modifying a map for personal use, but if you're intending to release anything it can get very time consuming to work through everything you've got installed and check what needs to be packaged, what you need distribution rights for, what you need to link to, etc... It's good to keep the number of external packages you need to a minimum to make the map more efficient and installation simpler for the end user, and you can only really keep track of that on a clean install.

when will there be any updates to farthington?

I don't have any updates to Farthington planned as the map was developing some fairly serious issues, and as I have moved on to work on collaborative projects such as BotW 2 and the C400.

shame it was such a good map. So i assume that the section by the motorway that says coming soon is not going to be made?

Hi there, I have managed to do all of this but when I load it into OMSI Editor, the building has white textures, with only one working wall. However, when I select the builidng, i can see all the textures but obviously throught the blue/red selection tint. Any ideas on how to fix this?
