- Learned this from watching Terry himself play it, as far as I know the only truly correct tutorial of this song. my first and maybe last, let me know in the comments if you want more or have any requests. I may ignore them or I may make many more.
If you are curious I am playing a Martin D35 from 1972 into a Stam Audio SA87 - เพลง
Nice voice too man excellent cover.
Thank you!! Only been waiting 15 years for someone to tackle this properly!
Your playing, presentation, vocals and generosity of sharing are sheer beauty! Thank you so very very much Matt.
Yeah I'm digging this version much better than all the others. Thanks for the video! Would like to see you cover "To Be Treated Rite" also 🤘
Thanks, I’ll get on that. Great tune.
very nicely done
beautiful song
Excelente
Sir, you nailed it. I shall practice these shapes for 10 years and hope to be as clean as you.
Great work!!! Beautiful voice❤thank you!
Sir, you are amazing. I have seen some of the tutorials and cover versions, but I knew something was different about the way it sounded on the record. Thank you so much.
thanks man, I'd have never figured it out in a million years! Some stretches in there....phew! thanks Matt 🙂
you might find it interesting. When I commented to Terry about his strumming he said he strummed in a figure 8 movement making the number eight with his right hand.
haha I just tried this out and it fucking sounds just like the recording !
I love this song! You've inspired me to buy a guitar! I'm a new subscriber!
My list of songs I want to be able to play before I die sound very easy when you listen but then when you look it up is played on expert-level . Only song I've gotten down that was on my bucket list is cowboys from hell from Pantera,Master of puppets, I still got this song and then cold -bleed , and sitting in a bar by rehab, I think I know how to play that one but it's hard to play and sing at the same time
Mate. I've been playing around with this and I think the 3rd chord is barre the 3rd fret and B string 6th fret G string 5th fret. Try it and see what you think. In the recording it sounds like he is just playing the bass note but I think that chord works better.
I’ll give it a go. Thanks.
Thank you for this.
❤ Awesome thank you!!
I don't know why but when I watch other tutorials it seems a lot harder or maybe I've just gotten better over the years idk🤷🏻♂️. I normally play the baseline but that gets boring so I'm definitely going to give this a go at one point in time I used to know how to play this song this way and I just forgot it somehow. Nice video thanks 🤘🏻
Thanks For the Chords!
Will try to find a way to sing and play the guitar at the same time.
Thanks. 😀
Nice!!
Damnit I guess I'm just going to stick to the bass line I can do those cords individually but switching in between them is not easy and I've been playing for 20 years I'm sure like anyting if I practice it'll get easier but I don't have the time that I used to when I was to sit down and teach myself songs.grate video 🤘🏻
What a boss :')
You have a beautiful voice, too!! :)
You have a good voice you should do a cover so I can try and play along
Thanks, I may very well do!
Would you be willing to write a tab out for it ?
Sorry dude, don’t do tabs.
Others are closer.
This dude gave me 3 different tunings and i'm at 11 seconds in. JUst tell me what the open strings are. Nothing worse than rushed mumbling while you're trying to teach something.
He said Terry Reid was singing it in Drop B but the actual song in it's studio version is in Drop C, which is also the tuning of this tutorial. He literally explained it in a couple of sentences. So again, DROP C. C G C F A D
I'm using someone else's profile currently, but years ago I learned this song(to what felt right as I was winging it) by ear. My channel is nothing more than a graveyard of my former potential but I'd love to hear your critique of my tutorial. Actually I think I paired Seeds of Memory and Treated Right on the same video. But this is a great tutorial man. Nice job.
