Great video!! I'll have to try this with my machine, it tugs and clicks when I try to use acrylic yarn like red heart super saver. Its been sitting on my shelf because i get so frustrated with it, hopefully this fixes my problem!
I have the same problem with some yarn it depends how thick the yarn is I also recommend using static guard but if the machine have so much travel working with certain yarn I will said don’t use it
Yes my machine is very picky in yarn it don't care for anything #5 it will work it just gives me issues at certain parts of the yarn but it completely loves #4 sorry not sure of brands I do know it hates tht "I love this yarn" brand
Red heart low quality in my opinion try Caron one pound… my sentro does fine. Take it apart and clean it dust it then lube it. Food grade silicone based lube
Interesting that you figured out that those 2 pieces are suppose to be one piece together. I was a little skeptical 🤨 but when I saw an Addi machine taken apart indeed the ring similar to this one is a whole unit and seems like it is kept together by screws. I will try to fix mine too maybe glue like you or maybe screws. Will see. 😌

I’m just starting out with a knitting machine and finding it very frustrating. Lost track how many times I’ve undone the work the past three days. I just decided to count the worked rows and surprisingly, the counter is way off. Looking at the end piece going around to the white hook, I counted fifty rounds, the counter showed 31! Now I’m counting the times it goes around and the work seems to resemble what it’s supposed look like. I’m also hearing a lot of noise and already tempted to return it after only a few days. Can the counters be fixed/adjusted or did I receive a lemon? The first machine received wasn’t even the brand I ordered. Any suggestions? Thanks
Yes unfortunately the counter of the machines doesn’t works well, it’s better if you install a digital counter what kind of yarn are you using also try to work at the same speed sometimes if we change de speed the needle start moving and missing the yarn, I don’t think the brand matter mine is also another brand
One of my needles is bent and won't knit anymore, it just keeps dropping stitches. I will check that too while I have it open. I hope that it will bend back ❤
I still have non idea where you put the glue and why you put it there. I see the places on the machine where the little nubs used to be....some are still there and some aren't.
Do you ever get problems with your handle? Mine has got stuck a few times and keeps getting hot to the touch. There's a sound of little broken bits of plastic inside
This happened to me in the beginning I did it by hand I put too much pressure on the handle and it began to wear out because I also did it very quickly, also you have to be careful with the type of thread if the machine makes a lot of force it is better to try another type of thread or maybe lubricate the machine
Esas dos piezas color rosa se supone que sean una sola. De alguna manera se rompió lo que las unías, aparentemente un pedacito de plástico como se nota en los circulitos blancos que ella señala. Ella utilizo pega para juntarlas de nuevo y así la pieza se mueve como una sola y no deja caer las puntadas, no se queda estancada. Para asegúrame de que así debe ser la pieza me fijé en la pieza de la máquina Addi la cual es roja y si se supone que sea una sola pieza y no estén separadas o rota como se muestra en el vídeo. Espero esta explicación le ayude 😊
Well Pat of the times I work with the drill I think the problem is working with the wrong yarn you can take a look of your machine inside and see what’s going on maybe lubricant will help I use I love this yarn and also velvet like 5mm some yarns doesn’t work at all in my machine
@ the screws are stripped and I can’t get them out (they’re the ones that are an inch or two in the plastic hole and I can’t get them out )and I tried to rip it apartbut I don’t wanna break all the plastic
It also happened with one of my machines the first time I used but now works really well I guess the machine needs time to adjust and you as well to know your machine 😅
You have to be able to take your machine apart to clean it with a soft cloth or hair dryer to blow the dust out. It is said NOT to use just any type of oil on your machine. Some Oils will eat away at your plastic. If you glue those two rings together, yarn dust will accumulate in between those two rings and you cannot clean them because they were glued together.

@@KnittingwithDiana minha máquina está estralando na manivela, comprei aqui no Brasil graxa siliconada, e mandei fazer a engrenagem em 3d( impressão), eu uso o adaptador e ela não aceita lã com Tex 500, só 375, vou trocar a engrenagem, pelo que eu entendi, você colou os anéis isso, pq na Addi eles são juntos. Muito obrigado 😀

I only got mine today and it's getting almost completely jammed at the 30th needle every time. Im annoyed as i was looking forward to making lots of things on it but now I feel id rather use a manual knitting loom

Yay!! No dropped stitches, but my counter is noisy. I had to tighten my crank as well. It was a bit loose and was missing catching the gear tread.

Mine has 22 needles and when I take out the only two visible screws it will not come apart. 😢

I used super lube silicone oil, it depends of the use I will said one a month just to check how is going I hope this helps

I got mine at a Goodwill and I tried to take it apart and all the screws are stripped.
The screws or the holes? You can try ripe the machine I have mine with tape and works great hope this helps

I have two Sentro that came out of the box making the grinding noise.
Sometimes some machines doesn’t like all the yarns try crayon, i love this yarn, or velvet let me know if that works for you

The glue isn’t not that strong after awhile the rings will separate and you can clean it up and glue it back, that’s what I do
