I remember picking up Tri-Star adaptor in a box for 5500 yen at Retro Game Camp in Akihabara, and it worked perfectly just fine, even though the compatability wasn't a near 100% perfection for both SFC, SNES and FC games. But It's probably the best retro game deal I had in Japan before. I would also love to pick up Gimmick in the future, but it's just way too expensive when I managed to find the copy over there. Gotta stick with good old repro cart for now on until I find that game in absolutely good deal. Great video btw!
Wow thoese were the good old days weren't they? Nice pick up man. It seems like an interesting device even if it isnt perfect. Gimmick! is a holey grail for sure i hope i can find a way to add it to the collection one day. Thank you for the kind support. 🙏
Definitely great picks for the top 3! I've been wanting Mighty Final Fight for a while now. It just looks so cool. Guess I should pick it up before it's getting even more expensive...
I can think of a cheaper way to get it, on the GBA, Capcom Classics Collection Mini Mix. It is on that cart, along with NES Strider, and NES Bionic Commando.
@@ScruffyLookinRGB You'll need a guide for this game since there are so many things to do,a lot of secrets, abilities to unlock, bosses to fight, itens to use and such! It's incredible how many features this game put on the table in 1989,definitely one of my favorites NES/Famicom games ever!
Kinda funny that Abadox is around $10 loose in the US but it goes for almost 10x the price in Japan, usually it's the other way around. The US version's ending is censored but probably not worth paying the JP price just for the ending
yup, gotta snag my av famicom before they are $150-200 , and a ram adapter so i can use the fds emulator dongle i bought lifeforce salamander off some guy for $20 in the states local, and he had that other $80-90 konami rpg rare game, should see if i can nab it cheaper from him if he still has it can get all those rockman games cheaper from surugaya that game at 31:04 , idk how i got it but it was one of the 3 famicom games i had left (smb3, golf and that) its not a bad game, what is the english hammering harry yeah? mighta came with a broken famicom system i bought(that actually works)
Yes, they are nice little revisions of the famicom and the fds stick is really nice too. If you grab a Everdrive Pro you can even bypass the ram adapter all together but i still like my fds for the aesthetics. 20 bucks in the states for salamander nice deal. That is correct daiku no gen san better known as hammerin harry.
Some interesting items you've seen in this video. The Tri star I watched a video on because you saw it here, I Was interested in it until I found its composite only. Which is really a shame as it uses the special Nintendo AV out. I like the games you picked out but most have a bit too much Japanese in them for me. If I was going for a loose cart out of the ones you looked at I would have gone Double Dragon 1 since its on my wanted list.
Tristar is an interesting peripheral. If you ever play on a crt it really doesn't make a huge difference between rgb and composite. But double dragon 1 is a classic love the cover art too 👌 🐉

Yes this time last year it was almost half the price. Dang man...

Happy New Year's scruffy and everyone. Some awesome titles that I have no idea about but it's all good.the cocoro would have been my choice.

3:28 Dengeki BigBang also know as Clash at Demonhead in America is a MASTERPIECE made by Vic Tokai !!!
Seriously, this game is unbelievably good 💎💎💎
Really?! From the little time I put into this one it was hard to tell. It has some cool graphics for its day and some cool ideas for sure.

That is one of those odd ball games here in japan that are rare. Super ROTJ on the sfc is also outrageous.
Buggy Popper is the FC demi port of the arcade game Bump and Jump (Data East)..it was on the Deco arcade board (1982) :D
Thank you kind sir it has been noted

12:21 No that's not Rampage. You're in Japan, you should know that infamous Nichibutsu twin-stick game.😄
Oh man there is always a new game to come across. Thanks. I've still never played crazy climber looks sweet tho😅
I had to tease you a little, well you knew about the Eddie Murphy one though.😁@@ScruffyLookinRGB

Bro, is everything fine with you?? I heard that an earth hit Japan today. Give us some news, are you safe??
I'm good thanks for your concern. The earthquake happened on the opposite side of the country. We are shaken but not stirred 👍👍👍
