  • This is a 1973 Teledyne Titan that we restored for a client in the fall of 2019. Frame number 130.
This is a complete early titanium frame and fork. The dark gray finish is titanium anodize. Teledyne was using commercially pure (no, or minimal, alloy materials). These frames and forks are notoriously flexible and fragile. Modern Ti tubing is vastly different and optimized for bicycles. But bikes like this blazed the trail.
The original owner was a bicycle mechanic in the late 70’s-early 80’s. The component mix reflects that era. Campy drivetrain and brakes, complimented with with early Phil Wood hubs and bottom bracket. Shimano Dura Ace headset. Modern tires are Continental Grand Prix Classic clinchers. Saddle is a reconditioned Brooks from the late 70’s with Campy seat post. Bar tape is modern Newbaum’s in Black and Tan. NOS Campy hoods. Super trick Mathauser finned brake pads.
    Thanks for checking it out!
