English is not very important for technical roles(like software engineer or analog design engineer). But very important for non tech roles like business analyst/product manager or any role which involves you to talk with stakeholders.

I have 2 years of hands on experience with expertise in many technologies, Recently I posted my resume to "Toptal" freelancing site but they simply rejected my resume without taking into consideration my skills just because I mentioned my English speaking level is Basic. In the reply they stated that "your English speaking level should be proficient so improve you English speaking skills and retry after 1 YEAR". & That sentence burnt me out from inside.

Use discord and ask doubts to foreign programmer in VC channels in English..... It might be difficult for u to understand them but soon after you will get use to it.
