these are some of my roommate's and my favorite videos - she's extremely Offline so whenever you post a new one, i get to text her "guess who he picked for wizard/warlock/monk/etc.?" the amount of screaming that happened when she guessed santa for rogue was immense. we especially appreciate your dedication to accuracy over minmaxing. these always end up so fun to watch! thanks for sharing.
Exactly @cameronmclean6804! In the MGM's film from 1939 - The Wizard of Oz - around 46 minutes into the film, there is a scene where the Wicked Witch of the West casts a Fireball spell towards Dorothy, TinMan and the Scarecrow.
Do love this build! And totally see the Tiefling being a good translation of Elphaba’s green. Another option for subclass for both 2014 and 2024 could be Divination/Diviner. Ie the Wicked Witch spying on Dorothy, Elphaba having a literal vision during “The Wizard and I”, etc
Honestly with how similar the two versions ended up being, I would have loved seeing a quick overview with how the “lore accurate” version of the build (transmutation subclass hexblood) would look - even if it was just in one version.
Yeah... no if your disqualifying all those other people she needs to be too on account of the fact that *HER MAGIC WASNT GAINED THROUGH STUDY* what dhe learnt at school was how to better handle her magic but she was allready magical due to her birth so thats makes her scorcerer not a wizard if we are being strict about it
I'd disagree, she's a human, she's just a... Variant Human. Plus, she never casts hex or uses her toenail to spy on people, but she does have innate Telekinetic abilities, so Telekinetic (Intelligence) fits really well. Also, she has a lot of animal and weather-related abilities that you can't get from wizard, so I feel some level of Druid is necessary.
Harry potter always seemed more like a dnd sorcerer. Has innate magic in his blood compared to anyone can read a book and learn the magic. I'd even go far as saying elphaba has a level in sorcerer. While the wizard of oz would be more an artificer
Wicked? if I want to watch 2 witches fight I'll put on 'the View.' Your excuse not to use harry Potter is poor as the books follow his education loads of books. But I'd have gone with Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden
Part of me would also argue that Elphaba is a sorcerer since her magical peors are inherent
In the musical, the shoes actually ARE silver until the moment she casts the spell, at which point they become "red hot" with magic.

Actually she does use fireball in the Wizard of Oz right after the tin man’s joining the group

@ yeah I watch the wizard of Oz right after going to see Wicked so still fresh in my mind
I wouldn’t have thought of her as Tiefling material, but you made an excellent case.

I love that while explaining why you wouldn't use Harry you showed Hermonie which would be great
Mind Slither 🐍

Gray Fullbuster next?

Well if we keep her to one class I actually think sorcerer wizard multiclass is the most accurate but still
I love that you try to avoid spoiler but if someone has only seen part one literally you explaining her magic will spoil it for them
I don’t mind.

Also, I mean, what's better for the Grimorie than Scribes Wizard?
Why didn’t you make her the “I” class?
Elphaba's not much of a combatant. But still a fun video!

There's a thousand Harry Potter in dnd builds though. You don't see the wicked witch too often. So it's a nice change up if anything.
@@tjrawesome oh yeah, i know, it's low hanging fruit, I just am disagreeing with the reason he gave.
