- A rare opportunity to see the Japanese percussion maestro in action.
The live performance of Stomu Yamash'ta and band was filmed at the Roundhouse in London in 1975. It featured in Tony Palmer's documentary series, All You Need Is Love, broadcast in 1977.

i an watching a documentary about Leonard Cohen called "Hallelujah Leonard Cohen a Journey a Song" At one point a poster appears showing Leonard's name on top along with others. The only name besides his I recognise is The Kinks. I decided to investigate the others who seem to be many countries and that's what led me here.
I went to a stomu yamash'ta live show at the roundhouse in 1975...😎
love it!!
Saw him live in Folkestone around about the same time, I think he had Gary Boyle on guitar and Hugh Hopper on bass, plus his wife on electric violin. It's still one of the greatest gigs I ever remember!👍
What a lineup. They did release an album in 73, amazing.
Thank you so much for sharing this. I’ve been a fan of his since I was a kid.

Excellent. I remember seeing the Tony Palmer documentary as a kid. BTW: Does anyone know what the title of this tune is?
Holy smokes! What was this from, originally?!
It was filmed in London's Roundhouse for the TV history of popular music, All You Need Is Love. I don't know if any other footage exists.
