Saw some post at some point using this sketch to illustrate how Jordon Peele's shift from comedy to horror is a lot more natural that it seems, since they're both genres that operate by playing with the build up and release of tension. This sketch could be horror as easy as it could be comedy, with only pretty minor alterations.
This was my jam in college. I’d literally dance along to this in the morning to get myself pumped. The fact that Key and Peele made a version of their own is hilarious.
I was waiting for the twist being that Peele's character paid the cue card guy to do that so Key's character would flip out, forfeiting the championship.

My goal has been to write my screenplays way more efficiently. Key and Peele, thank you for teaching… the way. The perfect balance of “A”, “B” and “C” in less than 3mins. A - the normal environment with established characters. C - the abnormal fight between two co-workers on television due to a relationship twist. …and B - the reason why the conflict arises. Barley any dialogue. .. wow! I have a lot to learn about write. ..gotta go practice more. Thanks again for the lesson.
Tip number 2 - find a good editor… when you’re able to sleep with them, it won’t matter if you spell Barely or Barley. ..they are there for you as a team. We f up together.
With the recent release of his movie nope.. who would watch a movie based on this as a premise.. starting from when they became friends al the way through to this moment..
