Great fun! It's amazing that she could make such a smart version of a very old song at nineteen. It's especially funny that she _started_ Gone With the Wind. It was a huge bestseller, but also famous for its great length. That, and other lyrics, suggest she's trying to be high class, but isn't really. The products she's using are inexpensive and not classy at all. "Pins and Needles" has a fun background. Read up on it on Wikipedia - it will add to your enjoyment of these songs. Harold Rome went on to a solid career, and these clever songs show why.
The song is from an industrial show. This performance is amazing for someone so young. But, then again, that is when she was her best. Raw talent. Wonder who was her musical director? Her youth and inexperience is what made funny girl so natural. It’s the reason no one can give a performance to rival hers. And i think she had private direction from miller, not Kanin or robbins.
Fun deconstruction Seth. Streisand was born to be brilliant. A complete natural talent. Her voice is one of the natural wonders of the world!
One of my favorite songs from that album. Thanks for deconstructing it for us all :)
This is Fabulous. Thanks Seth. ✨👍✨👍

Beatrice Fairfax is also mentioned in the verse of "But Not For Me". Thanks for this. Obsessed.

OY! Best advice, skip this video, find the song without the boorish commentary and Google what you don't understand.
