  • Fishing with bacon and egg, simple and cheap fishing! It's a classic GP film where he fishes all night then instead of packing up and going home he changes tackle and moves to another lake to continue a bit of daytime fishing. His bait is something few anglers will have thought of using, but the main item to take is?? A FRYING PAN?? You need to watch the film to find out his bait, and as usual it is loaded with tips that might help beginners. Enjoy and Subscribe!

Just want to say I’m a huge fan of the show, I’ve been fishing for 20 years now and this is the best fishing programme I’ve found on any platform. I really like the old school techniques they work so well (in my opinion better) than the overly complicated stuff. I’ve tried loads of your ideas I wouldn’t have thought of without watching TA fishing and you’ve inspired me to try lots of different types of angling too which has made me enjoy the sport even more. Thanks Graeme don’t ever retire 👍🏻

Great stuff. I fished for mekong catfish once and the local guy used only bread and banana. He tore up a loaf of bread into a bucket and used scissors to cut up bananas - skin and all - then mashed it all up. He piled up a method feeder, hooked some banana skin and pressed on some of the paste. Did it work! At one point all 3 of us were in. I've always wanted to try that here for carp - could be a good one for Totally Awesome to try one day.

I find your videos really relaxing. Trouble I'm having is everywhere local I try to fish, someone comes over and kicks me off "members only" "no day tickets"...all I want to do is fish and relax 😫

It is tough out there finding a bit of fishing. What about day ticket commercials in the area ? They will still want your money and you don't have to pay all those special "joining" fees on top of club membership and a million rules.Your local shop should help,as they want new people starting fishing as well.

Funny I struggled for 24hrs and couldn’t even get a knock from a carp so I crushed up a packet of custard cream biscuits and put about a 3rd of the packet in a pva bag (just for a laugh more than anything) and had a carp in minutes so I did the same and again had another and then a 3rd. I had no more custard creams and no more carp but tbh me and my friend still speak about it and it’s been about 20 years. It’s funny how us anglers get caught on bait and I still do but I do still think outside the box occasionally and it definitely works ! Another one I did was someone left half bottle of jd in my swim and I was having a hard time so I soaked my boilies in it overnight and it again turned my session around. Great video btw and I love the way you do your fishing. You try your hardest but you don’t take it to seriously and there’s not many of us left which is a shame as let’s be fair it’s only fishing lol 👍

As a kid i was fishing in my country with my dad on normal rain worms and i always got a lot of fish, but here in Sweden it is impossible for me to do the same for some reason.. the only fish i get are Pikes on soft and hard plastics. I tried many lakes, i would love me some Carp but that is like mission impossible here. I guess because no one takes Pikes home they overwhelm lakes and eat everything else... no clue.

I use egg shells when ice fishing, drop them in a shallow hole and use corn on my hook, put my head over the hole covered by my jacket so I can see the trout swimming below. I use a can of sardines also, with holes punched in it and use canned cockles for bait. I pull the sardine can out when I am finished btw.

Cheers Graeme, Great film! How many last casts do you have LOL. The thing is bread is all you need really your quite right, all this new fangled bait catches fishermen rather than fish.

    • @TAFishing

Maybe 9ft 6 inch spinning rod,but reel could be large or medium depending on whether you are fishing with lures or casting large deadbaits.Check with your local tackle shop.
