Clear, concise and to the point. Excellent job Jeff. The fit & finish of the Show Chrome piece looks great. Gorgeous color bike like the legendary Robert White’s bike. Thank you Cruiseman. You continue setting the installation & maintenance bar by which all others are measured.
It's really kind of sad that on a flagship almost $30,000 motorcycle there isn't an INCLUDED integrated trunk running and brake and turn signal led light. I think without those lights added the stock location of the turn signals and brake light are really too low to be seen well by vehicles from behind, especially higher profile vehicles.
I agree that you should have spare 3 m tape on the ready. I have a variety of sizes. I go overboard using a heat gun once I'm happy with the installation, and heat up the back side of the part, when possible to get the 3m tape to set up. I have used the 3m activator at times too, but you need to be careful with that stuff, it will eat the paint off in the blink of an eye. Great job guys. Be safe.
I ordered your video series for my 2023 Tour DCT which I pickup in two days. I watched the first 5 videos and I'm impressed with them. Looking forward to saving a fortune in repair costs!
I have one of those lights I have yet to install. My idea to find the center of the trunk is to use a piece of string and run it along the edge of the top of the trunk from end to end, then simply fold the string in half. A straight edge placed on the top of the trunk should make install it easier.
I have to admit that was pretty slick… Looks good… I’ve got a 21‘ Goldwing… Matt Black with the burgundy trim and stitching that would look pretty cool with that light on the back I have to admit 👌🏼and of course I’d use Goldstrike
How about finding the “perfect alignment” first and in the process preparing a few bits of styrofoam with adhesive tape. Then proceed to attach them directly underneath where the light will be attached, creating a shelf, kinda. Then when removing the protective layer on the actual light adhesive tape, you might be able to just stick it right on guided by the styrofoam bits… just a thought, how would that work in this scenario ?
i have the Black version of the same '23 tour. i have the same lightstrike rack with the integrated Lightstrike light. hope it wont look odd with the different light so close.
Great video, would like the lights on my 2022 tour. Which power distribution unit from gold strike did you use? Does it power additional lights as well? Cheers
Hey cruiseman i hope thats not one of rickies cake tins you putting them screws in or they gonna be calling you bruiseman not cruiseman if she finds out hahaha ,when lining that light up dry might i suggest a chinagraph pencil which you could have marked the ends where they sat dry might have made it easier when trying to line it up with the protective backing removed just a thought .
Looks like an ordeal. Maybe not. Does anyone know of a product to put along the top edge of the trunk lid where you're always pressing down to close the trunk? A chrome piece or something?

agreed, i put the lightstrike light/rack on my trunk. i may add this light also because i think it will be seamless with my black '23 tour.
Who else thinks the music is absolutely unnecessary? Otherwise, a good video.
Yes, I thought I was the only one.. Great video tho.. The music was too overpowering!
Another good install and fellowship.

@@richardadams6853 thank you for supporting the videos.
Great job Jeff and Cruiseman!! Another successful installation in Cruiseman’s Garage. That light looks fantastic!!

imagine my surprise after watching your video and ordering a GT Marvel Trunk Light, that I ALSO need a 85 dollar fuse block
You raise a good point. I think we sometimes just assume everyone knows you need a fuse block/isolator and forget to mention it.
So there is no way fo install it directly without a block?@cruisemansgarage
So many Texas-wings !!
Another awesome installation video, THANK YOU!
