An MMA fighter that was coming off ACL and MCL surgery that NEVER boxed. Muscled him around in the clinch because Fury only had a 5 pound weight advantage instead of 50 pounds for the first time in his career and Tyson Fury the boxer was shooting takedowns in a boxing match. He also threw the most illegal elbow which Francis ate like candy in the history of boxing. That's the lineal HW champion? You better train for Usyk and not show up at 280 pounds.
Thats what happens when you face worst case adversity and fight like a wolverine, never allowing yourself to be broken mentally having to be physically stopped from standing straight for the fight to be called. He realized that hes a true warrior with an indomitable heart and will. He learned the black and white truth about himself and when you know you cant be mentally broken by anyone you no longer feel any need to convince anyone. He didnt know for sure who he was when it really came down to it until that 3rd fury fight which is why he was always tryna convince people. Now that he knows, he has 0 insecurity and need to convince anyone because you cant fake those moves and the entire world saw who he really was at heart. An unbreakable warrior with the heart of a true champion. I have so much respect for wilder after seeing this. I always honestly couldnt stand him but i just became a true fan on what i learned here alone.

I have far less respect for Wilder after he said to Aj "even if we don't fight I'm wishing you the best" which was his way of creating a way out for both of them when Wilder should have been calling him on right there, shaming Aj into the ring. The entire time Aj was staring Wilder down and not returning the sentiment. I'm not a world champion but if Aj looked at me like that I'd be calling him on it, not being his bitch like Wilder just was. AND this is coming from a big Wilder fan and supporter, namely me.

Miller said what everyone in there KNOWS: that AJ's confidence and psyche is very fragile, and Eddie Hearn is the one who does not want AJ to fight Wilder (a fight he will probably be winning until Deontay touches him.) That being said, AJ is definitely too emotional these days and I think it is a travesty to have them both on the same card noy fighting each other. As someone who wasn't ever a fan of him, he definetly 100% was destined for greatness and had all the right attributes. He had everything going for him and had the ability to be an all time great HOWEVER the likes of the sleazy slime that is Hearn turned him into a marketing asset. Instead of making an all time great out of him giving him the meaningful fights when he was young, hungry and had fire in him, he just sheltered him and made sure to hold the belts hostage. He would rather have AJ be the pretty boy instagram social media under armour sports model posing infront of cameras and private jets 24/7 taking the easiest fights possible. It was a good business plan but it could only go on for so long before having a cherry pick gone wrong with the likes of Ruiz. Anyway, I really hope AJ does actually come back from all of it. I like to think anyone can bounce back.
