Unlike Venti, he is also a hyper carry character who also designed to have great personal damage so he will still performing great against bossess compared Venti
Jiyan is the least likely to be powercrept as a 1.0 dps compared to other games 1.0 dps. He has auto parry and grouping. Only way he can be power crept would be needing high single target dps and anti-grouping mobs
I thought the Resonance Liberation % stat on Echoes gave Jiyan nothing? The Resonance Liberation skill info itself only says the modifier for the replaced attack, Lance of Qingloong, which is all considered Heavy Attack damage, but also the Forte Circuit that has the initial hit from Liberation's damage description says "considered as Heavy Attack damage". Is there a hidden modifier where Resonance Liberation damage actually does increase the initial damage when casting Liberation with 30 Resolve, or is this just incorrect? Edit: Tested it myself, Resonance Liberation damage % gives nothing, it's completely dead as a stat.
in the gamepplay tip number 1, I just tested that the buff only dissappeared was mortefi outro buff when switched, but monkey and aero buffs still stayed. You can look at the tooltips, only mortefi buff specified that "or until the Character is switched". Buffs that doesnt have this tooltip will still stay even when switched
Yeah, it makes no sense to have quickswap echoes if they fall off when you switch. I was questioning that when he was saying that they fell off, outro buffs from what I remember are the only ones that drop off when switching unless it's a teamwide buff from what I remember.
@@ExaltedXero yeah CN is kinda cooked for this one. But Wuthering waves doesnt have ingame incons for buffs and debuffs, which make you have to go character profile to see buffs, which is kinda inconvenient and hard to check
@@lumberboi8592 you lose out on monke buff if you swap out Jiyan this way. You need to quick swap back to Jiyan as the monke animation ends to get the buff.
@aqxlabnerz do you actually lose the buff that way, I thought you only lose the buff when specified when you swap off? Edit: nvm just reread it "current character gets aero dmg by 12%" I guess you can use monke after all the buffs.

may i know what is the damage % reduction if Jiyan is paired w Sanhua instead of mortefi? I pulled 93 times on his banner and got him but I only kept getting chixia
I'm kinda confused because I feel like jiyan really needs ER and there is literally no mention of er in the echoes section at least. I think overall his rotations are too slow if you are stalling for your ult energy and from some testing most clears end up being slower without an er 3 cost echo or at least around 130% ER. Considering most of his dmg comes from ult being up along with emerald storm I feel like switching in to immediately intro skill into ult is a faster clear and you don't always have ult up without er for that.
I’m not gonna lie even if the 3 chose echoes are not optimal some of them are really good. Like the hoochief clap is just instant damage you can swap out on a short cooldown, and the bird has mobility. The car is cancelable too. If you do mortefi, Verina, bell echo buff, heron echo buff, and then just use jiyan it’s still a fuck load of damage.
so long as i never lose a 50/50 (im looking at you e2 himeko) I will get both easilllly. I love WuWa’s generosity so far, and am fine if it slows down soon.
@@MapleYum yeah, in the tooltip for forte, the green tornado still counts as heavy damage. So actually zero of his kit has resonance liberation damage. So, maybe replace resonance liberation damage with resonace skill as the last desirable sub stat
For those who think he will age bad part of the reason venti and kazuha were so dominant is because of their insane crowd control. Also he auto parry’s during ult as long as you spam left click
you dont need to wait for jiyan to drop from intro skill, you just need to plunge after using intro then use monkey and ult. you will still have all the buffs you need till the duration of the ult last.

It's only loss when you have outro buffs, and thats usually when you have lined up for the ulti. You don't blindly just swap whenever. During the downtime, it is better to do animation cancelling, infact it is better because you are efficiently throwing allies E inbetween the attack combos which does build up your next nuke cycle faster. You may not enjoy doing it. But I find it very easy to pull off once u get used to it, just like any fighting game you get better the more times you repeat the combo.

That's quite normal, you aren't guaranteed to get a rate up character, and even when you do, chance for Mortefi is only 1/3.

I cant swap cancel Jiyan echo to Mortefi then back to Jiyan before the end of echo animation because of character swap cooldown
I usually start with Monke echo then move to verina, get her atk dmg up + bellbourne shield, then morty, and finally back to jiyan
