King Mnguni, gave birth to King Xhosa, he was the first King of the Nguni nation. The house of Mthethwa, and the house of Khumalo were the biggest clans in Mnguni nation. The land we classify as KZN is not KZN, it is Nguni land, coz there exists many ethnic groups speaking Nguni dialects, such as Ndwandwe/Zikode etc…the person who wrote our history did us a disservice. Mnguni, Gumede, etc were the first to lead the Nguni nation. The so called Zulu dynasty only came into effect in 1816, before that, you only had Nguni nation.
