- The 2024 Honda Brio RS is on today's Behind the Wheel review. In this episode, we do a little more than take this little hatchback out on a drive. Caco relives his youth by going through a grocery run as if he were back in a dorm room studying. Will all of his essentials fit? Is the Brio a good enough car even with its price? Find out how it does on Philippine roads in this review.

This made me appreciate more my Brio 2019 RS.
No push start, no reverse cam, same body, same wheels same interior.
I love honda brio but that 130k increase is not worth it with the competition it has now.
vios xle cvt 2024 is far better
I strongly agree with u😔
I can't justify the price increase as well since it's practically still the same 88hp/100nmT
While the newer model has Android Auto/Apple Car play, I still find aux/usb more reliable
Also the older model has a more sporty look, personally not a huge fan of the wider grill
Its sitting at a weird price point. Medyo stretch yung pagkakasabi ni Caco sa huli, to answer his question also: No, mag toyota Vios XLE nalang ako.
okay now i want caco to have his own channel, and vlogs.
Vios XLE is a more sensible choice or the less expensive Raize E CVT than this Brio RS
Can i change the key start to a start stop button? Or like is it possible to change it?
Hi just wanted to ask do you guys have an update about when is the 2024 mustang be available here in the philippines? Can u do a review on it too?
For the price, Honda could have done more. Some gripes this Tito has:
-a proper connector for the infotainment system. The current port is a joke.
- a reverse camera. A hundred grand more? Come on, Honda.
- a lack of a push start button. The Wigo has that for 729k. I just checked it out last week.
Some good points:
- a four cylinder engine is defintely an advantage over the competitors . I drove a Toyota Wigo E variant for almost a decade. The NVH is indeed bothersome if you are not used to it.
- the design is quite attractive. For the price, it had better be.
If Honda wants to beat the other cometitors, just make these changes and you just might have a winner.🤙
I was surprised that the rear door lift struts are exposed and can be seen inside the cabin 6:15 . The Koreans designed their lift struts hidden (eg. Picanto, Accent HB, Eon or i10) when the door is closed.
I need to test drive a Honda brio when I go home on January. Can you please help me on how to that. Ty
The previous Brio rs wasn't great value for money to begin with, now the added 130k for a mild facelift and bare minimum of interior amenities will surely price this car out for many looking for a low cost small car, especially with the crossover alternatives which are so popular these days.
Hi! If you don't mind, what would be a better alternative than the brio? Thanks!
@@EvaFive01 spresso
With this, it would be a smarter choice to go for the Honda City E variant instead, the base model with a lot of features for just a lil bit higher price than the brio RS
I agree fully, the USB interfaces / ipod compatability is really terrible.
I wonder if this is Philippines/Thailand built variant only?
In South Africa the USB interface and ipod compatability is more better
Its really disappointing for the price u are paying
Make manual gearbox available on all trim levels! Cheaper, more reliable and more fun! Probably more economical too!
18km/l manual gearbox with ron90 only. Superb economical. Never reset the fuels consumption from new. Now already 28000km.
honda sensing on brio rs could have been the best justification for a 100k price increase.
hoegaarden rosé pls hehe. super nice choice for beer. my man caco❤
Caco my fellow Tifosi. Disappointed with the Scuderia since 2007 😂
This is my first car! Pretty reliable even for my weekly travels to my hometown (baguio). Only complaint is matagtag sya guys lalo sa uneven roads sa NCR. Pack you C5. Thats the only reason why i want a different car now. LOL
Coz it's a short wheelbase. Good car though.
i like that "pack you C5" 😂😂
Price increase is insane. Barely a facelift and they charge 130k+ for it. I’m a 2019 Brio RS owner and it was already painful to splurge for the RS variant back then. Might as well save a bit more and get a City or even a BR-V with the current price.
Caco slipping in some F1. Now THAT I LIKE! Keep it going AutoDeal! 😄
Sounds like he is not a fan of Red Bulls 😂
tito caco with the game boy
Planning to get one for everyday use - grocery trips, school drop offs and pick ups.
good thing I got 2021 brio .. They started price increase in 2022 w/ no changes at all..
You can see Caco struggling to say NO in the end. Wouldve respected him more if he did but I get it though. BUT. Let's be honest, if you're being rational about this buy, that 100k increase vs what you get as well as taking a look at the competition and what you can get for the same money, the BRIO is a tough sell.
I’m driving a brio (not rs) but i never had an issue in parking the car, it’s actually quite easy cos it’s small.
100% agree with you. No need for a reverse camera, just my take as I don’t face any issues parking it.
Didn’t you catch the sarcasm?
RS variants should have a manual transmission too!
Brio is great. We own this car and it never had any issues so far.
Honda vs toyota.
I can’t believe that updated model still doesn’t have a toneau cover, which is a must for hatchbacks to protect your contents stored at the back from prying eyes! All hatchbacks sold here in the Philippines have a toneau cover, even the measly and cheap Suzuki S-Presso. There’s not even any provision to put one, hence Honda doesn’t even sell one as a separate accessory. Yes, even the top-spec RS black top, no toneau cover. What happened, Honda? For the price increase of 100K, you should have installed a toneau cover to the top-spec RS, at least. Caco, you missed to point that out.
heck, even the Hyundai EON na ginagamit ko every once in a while has a toneau cover. cheaply manufactured pero malaking bagay na meron yun. this is the bare minimum Honda PH could do to somewhat increase the Brio's security, kahit sana yung fabric na toneau cover nalang na tumutupi, yung kagaya ata sa Geely Coolray ganon.
@@aloneinthecity_ AGREE!
ang nagmahal jan ay ang pang 4 na cylinder. try ngu shearch anu difference ng 3 and 4cylinder.
Ok po ba pang long drive yung brio?
Ah yes. Carwow style videography. Good video.
Please review the Kia Picanto GT line.. a fan here!!!thanks a lot❤️
Baka hindi na po i-review to boss since discontinued na ang picanto sa pilipinas. di na nila mabebenta via their website
Not available in the PH
@@SALT--sayang gusto ko pa naman bumili ng picanto 😢
Hello sir, I've literally see you about a minute with ur red honda h-rv exiting starmall, shout out pooo! I want to take a picture with you but I'm stunned 😂
crazy to think that the entry level Brio is STILL expensive than top of the line Wigo
few years back the difference between Wigo TRD and Brio RS is 35K
what happened to HONDA Brio do they import the Brio from Jupiter?
Just had my honda HRV serviced last week and had plenty of time looking through the cars in the showroom and I must say all models are either underwhelming in specs, interior or overpriced for what it can offer. Even my HRV (2020-2021) was not worth 1.2m in 2021 when it was bought. You are just really paying for the logo which does not have any significant feature to offer. So my advice to first time car buyers, save your cash and spend it with other brands. You will get more bang for the buck. Especially this brio, not worth it.
I love Honda, that's the first car we had, so this is tried and tested brand for us, and for that price point, i will either go with Mitsubishi Mirage G4 or Suzuki Dzire, heck even the lower variant of Toyota Raize that offers more compared to Brio... i am honestly disappointed with this price increase with less upgrade to offer. I am already preparing to buy myself a new car, but as much as I want a Brio, I'm considering between G4 and Dzire, (I'm more positive towards dzire though).
The Sonata would be a better choice with more tech in it!! This car is pure garbage! Honda is 10 years behind in tech, and Toyota looks dated!
@@michaeljcasazza7742The Brio has minimal features and has a steep pricing. But 10 years behind? You should check the tech in the outgoing NSX Type S and the newest RDX.
i love the comedy 🤣
Owner of Brio Rs 2023. It's a beautiful car but i'm a bit disappointed that it does not have a reverse cam. Wala din sya push start at wala din usb port para magcharge. Bumili pa ako ng adaptor 😅. Pero all in goods parin i love my car ❤
i wish there was a manual rs variant.
sana magproduce din ng pick up style ang Honda.
Man I love the smattering of F1 references in the recent reviews. Who does the Autodeal team root for anyway?
Edit: Ah, Tifosi pala si Caco. I understand your pain, my friend.
Let's be honest this is the best looking in the segment but the price increase is just too much
totally
Great car but the jazz was so much better in my opinion. The trunk space , passenger space and visibility was far superior
I had to search the meaning of "the carpet matches the drapes" haha
They should bring back the jazz
it definitelty looks better
14 inch wheels? I think it's 15 inch on the RS variant.
Caco, I also do not hate Max. I also am a Tifosi. Good thing Carlos stole the podium at the Monza Quali!
Best in the segment still, but the cost-cutting done to this and yet the huge price increase makes it the worst. Thank you, excise tax? The Mirage is almost dead because of that, too.
Make 1.2-liter hatchbacks great again.
If they put honda sensing on it, the 100 thousand might be okay or acceptable. But to be honest it's a hard sell considering the new wigo offers a lot more minus the engine size ofcourse.
Yup dapat may ADAS na dahil sa price increase.
I love honda but to compare the new toyota wigo is more appealing to me now especially the price.
100k is a differentiator since it puts the product above it's "masa" competition. Honda knows its market - "sosyal"= "hilas" even if it is a subcompact they can say- it's a HONDA.. see consumer behavior/psychology. case study: Nike in the early 80's market strategy... the build and the legendary reliability (chismis yung sa toyota) that I can attest. I have a 99 CRV. It still runs like a boss... I am not hilas though.. I bought that jdm surplus. LOL
Toyota Raize E CVT or Brio Rs ???
841k vs 863k
Raize, easy
Nice and honest review sir
looks like a updated jazz
Might as well buy a city at that price. It's better in every way.
That looks like Mirage HB2017
Dont you think Wigo is much better for the price?
I really wish they put civic rs engine in it. That would sell
Hmmm the price increase is based on the price of the 2019 Brio, which was 735K. Did you guys know that the price of the previous one, model 2022 is around 835K for the black top model?
It’s unfair that the new Brio is being compared to the 735K price tag which was 4 years ago, it should have been compared to the previous model priced at 835K.
So 835K vs 863K - with all the added upgrades like the LED Headlights, Foglights, DRL, Apple Carplay and Android Auto infotainment, backing sensors, auto windows down and up on the driver side and new mag size color, I think the price difference is well justified.
My uncle just bought this last tuesday, i kinda like the features of the car its fun to drive..
Maganda ang 2024 honda brio rs kung lalagyan pa nila ng reverse camera , driver arm rest , front clearance sensors and hill start assist. This is my own opinion for that price nila sa bagong Honda brio rs.
For the small ones. We can always add...maybe you know.....a roof rack or a hatch rack? Maybe...... 🤔...hmmm
Honda generally pricier in every segment but honda brio or honda in general are fun to drive and the brio design is more mature compared to other city cars 😁 its monthly sales consistently sits in top 10 in my country
caco went to medium size 💪🏼
Nicee, it's been 5 years na pala 😂
I think caco got ot wrong kasi 2019 lumabas ang 2nd version ng brio...i should know kasi yun ang 1st choice ko.mahabang kwento kung bakit ako napadpad sa wigo g mt. 😩
hello, anyone? Pwede po ba itong honda brio as a car for beginner? or may mas better po within the same price range?
Brio Owner here. Super sulit. Mas mahal nga siya pero yung driving comfort panalo compare sa ibang brand kasi nga 4 cyclinder.
Honda's price is getting steep. Almost at par with the city's price.
all that Jazz? lol pun intended ba?
Raize or Brio? o city s variant?
raize
Raize
Just do a 1.5L engine swap and it will be perfect hot hatch.
The Indonesian version don't even get the open/closed air circulation slider. Jesus Christ they are good at cost cutting
Get a Raize or Mazda2 or other subcompacts. This is due to for an all-new model.
Caco and makina bike host have face similarity😮
1:09 see it looks like its pasted on
Just like the specs of Chevy spark 2017. But the spark is a bit better.
Mas maganda yan sa personal. Nung una akala ko mas maganda yung luma... pero subjective naman talaga ang looks... walang isofix.. which is standard na dapat sa panahon ngayon.
😊
Jeans aren't really that baggy (says those that don't really that watch often) 😂
Grabe namam honda. Ung mga bibili ng wigo noon pinag pipilian ang wigo o brio pero ngayon hindi na kasi ang laki na ng price difference.
Next mo po ang geely gx3 pro...
🤣
Talo tayo dito vs competition ngayon.😫
I just chuckled at the random max verstappen reference. 😂 I’m literally watching F1 on tv while watching this video on my phone hahaha
Honda is the Apple of cars.
I can not tell why honda dose not sell this car in japan
Tu-tu-du-du Max Verstappen! Oh the hate for Max. LMAO.
Great car but kinda expensive
no push start, no reverse cam, damn
+100k hahaha
why increase... sumasabay sa inflation 😢
The best yang brio ganda kasi ng makina nyan inline 4 compare sa mga basurang 3 cylinder
its a new honda civic :))
almost same price as a vios xle cvt, or even 100k nalang honda city na
It’s RS
@@JLgscorpio yeah an emblem
Parking space
Honda Jazz/Fit is still a better hatchback than this. Sad Honda stopped producing them
No cntr armrest,leather steering wheel
For me, para to sa mga taong new owner and gusto magtry ng brio. Pero para sa katulad ko na may Honda Brio RS 2019, hindi worth it ang upgrade 😅
Got to agree it is overpriced. Yung led headlights lang and head unit worthy upgrade. Then maganda yung stellar diamond pearl na color. -from a 2021 Brio owner (only paid 690k for my Brio RS Blacktop) 😂
Also adding 2 eyed rear sensors is good. But overall price bump is too much h
6:06 sense of humor spotted! 😂
Overpriced for me. Got our V cvt variant last August 2021 for 660k
to be overpriced it should have been a supercharged making 109 HP and an MT only imagine
Ilabas nyo na kasi WRV
Sorry but with that price tag, I would rather choose the Kia Stonic
I think it's decently priced, the others are just cheaper because they have a smaller engine.
Imagine if the other competitors upgraded to a 4-cyl engine? I think the pricing would be similar.
I have a 2015 Brio V (Top of the line) and I bought that for 730k. 5 years later, in 2020, I bought another Brio, the RS, for the same price of 730k.
After almost a decade, it's only now that they have bumped up the price and I think it's about time.
💯
Also, the Mirage has not released a newer hatchback yet so the price is as is. I think every car will have a price increase due to inflation.
Wigo has increased its price as well.
That’s the thing though. Wala naman halos difference ang power ng 1L 3cylinder compared to 1.2k 4 cylinder. So mas pipiliin talaga ng mga tao yung mas practical
@@WigoKing Wigo only has 66hp, while current the Brio has 89hp. It's not a lot in the whole grand scheme of things about cars, but having almost 35% more power will make a difference especially when accelerating up to traffic speed, overtaking, and the occassional Baguio trip. It also means that the engine doesn't have to exert more effort when moving around.
I also had a Wigo G before almost the same time I got my first generation Brio, yes it was economical and good to my pocket but that's about it. It was also almost 200k cheaper than the Brio at the time.
What you said is true regarding practicality, most people will always look for the practical one. But, practicality is subjective. For me, my mid-size SUVs and my pickup are more practical than my small cars, that's why I use them more even though I'm only getting 5-7km/l in the city.
@@WVNT888 Brio may slightly have more power that Brio is also heavier which negates it.
And when it comes to practicality, i don’t understand why SUV would be more practical than a small car like Wigo. You can do everything an SUB can do in small cars but with less maintenance and gas.
@@WigoKing Not really, I still get 15-20km/l in my Brios even with my older unit. Almost the same fuel economy as I was getting with my old Wigo. 35% extra power isn't "slight" at all, if it were only 5-10% difference, then it would qualify as slight.
Having my SUVs being more practical because sometimes I have to bring more stuff and people around + their stuff. Flooding is also rampant in Metro Manila, most small cars will back out while I can push through, it saves me time and saves me from the worry of being stranded. If I have a small vehicle, my capacity is limited or I may have to make multiple trips.
