I have a noisy motor just like this. The label says McQuay, they seem to be out of business, but the other information on the building electrical permit says it is a Jenn Air. The motor makes even more noise than this and someone clipped the belts. Where do I look for a new motor/rebuild kit, and new belts? No idea on the size but it appears to be the same as this one. The motor is a Magnetek. It is a type 1 hood.
Man the bearings are great and run smoothly or fine but at the same time or in the same hand they need grease. Dude what is it are the fine or do they need Greece or grease just curious or wondering is all.
Yep I think it’s just the fact that it’s belt drive and the motor pulling the belt which is connected to the pulley and also the fact that it could not be tightened down all the way
Man I had something typed up the fcking video went on to the next one and now I forgot what the freaking question was that I was asking was but I think it was about the sleeve bearings
First thought is since you haven't opened the fan yet I think by the way its dancing is either bad belt or bad bearings. Let's see if I'm right or wrong on my thoughts. Time to continue the video.
Thank you 🙏 for all you do for many journeymen and apprentice, I had a noisy exhaust fan, the motor was the problem like your video
I've never opened one of those. You simplify it and make it look easy. That's experience right there. Nice Guru.

Good fix on motor, most likely what took bearing out before, tight belts and motor shim.
more exhaust fan videos please! nice video!
How did you get up there with that ladder?
Thanks for the nice work trip👍

Well dang it was the motor. Probably a bearing in the early stages of going bad.
Nice vid Super Dave ... Film the new motor install ...
Eddy it’s all up and running
First and love your work my friend.
Nice job 👍👍👍
Everytime I see one of your new vids, it always has 1 dislike. What's up with that?
I think my homart kind of did that when it ran and it’s a belt drive one from I think the 59/ used for in windows and is a 20”
Good one.
They love swaopping motors never greasing them before they die

the fan is balanced what about it? you know the deal!
Yeah I’ll probably remember either in a second minute or a while
I had one like that and found a piece of paper had got sucked up the hood and threw it out of balance. Found it after it took out the bearings...
dave....your almost at 10k subs....gonna do a big giveaway ?? 😀
kingofthecrease30 not big but something. Maybe a 6 in 1 😂😂😂

I don't think motor would cause it to shake like that looks like wheel is out of balance to me
Brad Van it also had a grease pocket in one side of the veins. It got a clean up and new motor.
was going to say, it has something stuck in the wheel, making it out of balance, but looks like it's been found and fixed :)
Then tell you or in this case you
What gotta pay to watch
I sure hope this is a joke or something... EDIT : looks to be a youtube problem. Thankfully.
hvacman77 it’s free
