Wow, this brought back my entire childhood all in a flash. My mother watched this soap and never missed an episode. We grew up with the Corys, with each clip I can remember various things that happened right up till my mother died. Amazing what images can do to ones memory... Nice video montage. Mom died the year the show was cancelled, she never knew the show ended.
Love the Corys, but it’s such a shame that other, post-eighties, groups like the Loves and Hudsons, had to push out the Matthews family, who had much stronger emotional, familial ties to the Cory family.
As I stand here alone in the kitchen at 5:30 in the morning .with my cats, I realized that on my birthday 12 days ago, the Fourth of July, I turned 59.wow. Excuse me a moment, trash pick up in 20 minutes, be right back...
This is such a Nice Video. Oh how the years go by was also used on it's Sister Show As The World Turns. What I loved about them is that no matter who you were most notably a Long Lost Relative (Paulina & Sandy) you were welcomed into the fold. Also for Victoria Wyndham it must have been surreal to work with the many Jamies and Amandas over the Years. When Jeff Phillips "replaced" Matthew Crane as Matthew Cory I'm sure fans were outraged. I didn't know until much later that Constance Ford worked with Sandra Dee & Troy Donahue in A Summer Place. Co-Incidentally Troy's "Real" name is Merle Johnson that he used in Godfather Two. She also worked with Jeanne Cooper in a Prison Movie before she played Katherine Chancellor on The Young & The Restless.
My goodness. I know each and every one of these characters and probably every scene.
Mac/Rachel dynamic couple...Ada/Rachel...dynamite mom/daughter couple. The powers that be at AW for years had such vision of "what worked"
A very nice tribute to the Corys!! They were the foundation of the show and it is great to see the whole family as the years go by!
Loved the Cory family. They made the show. They were power houses.
Yes they in their own way continued where The Matthews Family left off. Kind of how The Spauldings & Lewises came to Springfield on Guiding Light.
