I've been a fan of this band since 1992 and I still think they're at the top of their game and this very gig was the first - and so far the only - time I saw them live and it was even better than I had hoped that it possibly could be. It was PERFECT in every Ae meaning of the word. PERFECT TECPREF RECPFET PECFRET RECTPEF ECREPFT CEPTERF EECTPRF FECPRET ECREFPT AUTECHRE...
Wow, thank you very much for uploading this! I watched them live @ Le Guess Who and was afraid i never would hear this shit again. It's even in great quality! I salute you!
Extraordinario sin duda los maestros indiscutibles que van a años luz del resto alguien sabe como carajos se llama el track que comienza desde el minuto 5:43
Its alright, one minute might be sounding cool and aggressive while then the next minute just confused and schizophrenic though. They don't shift their style only predictable forms of chaotic beats and sounds which while identifiable isn't exactly fan-building or genre expanding. Other than that they're supernatural artists.
I hear their souls since the first minute! Autechre music seem impenetrable but i can ALWAYS hear their souls in it, they are very sensitive persons and they just prefer to express emotions in such a complex and authentic way that can’t be replicated by no one else... still they are humans just like you and me. Ae music stimulates the mind, the body and the soul
As stupid as this may sound, can someone please ''explain'' this music to me? I enjoy some of their older stuff (Mostly their album Amber), but this just sounds like farts over a seeminly randomly generated beat, to me.
Oversteps and Exai are more user-friendly. But all of their albums eventually "click" if you dig deep enough into them. Quaristice just clicked for me this year and I've had it on Vinyl since it came out.
Anthony Johnson I love how that happens! I still don't understand it but you do really need a long time to sort of process their music. I'm sure I won't fully appreciate Exai until the next album comes out. To this day I sort of re-discover old songs, constantly..
+Karen Tregaskin i respect what they are doing, i just don't enjoy it--and i'm willing to posit my reaction on youtube for your express bemusement. it's not that my opinion is unoriginal, it's just that it doesn't coincide with your opinion. i appreciate artists taking left turns and surprising their audience & innovating etc., but the direction ae has taken their music in just sounds drab and uninspiring to me. i've given their late period albums (quaristice, exai, oversteps, etc) plenty of spins and it's just not clicking for me. there. i said it. again.

***** that burn tho +1 +1
that's a compliment, coming from an arrogant, high-minded, self-appointed arbiter of taste such as your bitchy self. google: get over yourself.
Track name 26:00?
