The actions of the gladiators served as an example for many slaves and poor people who, sensing the smell of easy money, rushed to Vesuvius to join the ranks of the Spartacus army.

Under the leadership of Spartacus, the fugitive gladiators take refuge on the top of the legendary volcano Vesuvius and quite successfully hold the line, repelling all the attacks of the soldiers sent after them. From this moment the story of the Spartacus Uprising begins.

Spartacus decides to arrange an escape and attracts fifty other gladiators to his side. Together, these experienced warriors, armed only with kitchen knives, kill the Roman guards and escape to freedom, simultaneously robbing several convoys with army weapons.

Already in the Roman possessions, in the city of Capua, thanks to his military spirit and remarkable physical strength, Spartacus soon becomes the slave of a gladiator. There, in the arena, he fights with other gladiators for the amusement of a wealthy audience.

As a result, serious forces were not sent to capture the fugitive gladiators, and therefore they quickly felt permissiveness and began to organize raids on the outskirts of Vesuvius, essentially turning into an ordinary gang of bandits.

A huge number of wars took place on the territory of Thrace, as a result of one of which the Thracian Spartacus was captured and forced into Roman slavery.

The Roman armies at this time were mostly outside Italy. They took part in the suppression of the Sertarian rebellion in Spain and waged war with the Black Sea pont.

Namely, from the personality of Spartak himself. But not much is known about him. Spartacus was a Thracian. These people lived on the territory of modern Bulgaria and were distinguished by their particular reluctance to submit to the Romans.

Spartacus did not like feeling like a trained animal in the circus arena. Perhaps pride or a desire to take revenge for humiliation prevailed in him. One way or another, but in the summer of 74 BC.

In this battle, Crassus won a landslide victory, although he lost a third of his army.

The following year both of these generals were elected consuls. At the same time, most of the credit, along with the Myrtle Crown, went to Crassus, who, however, counted on the Laurel Crown. But at the last moment, the Senate was ashamed to attach such high importance to the victory over slaves and the poor.

This is how the uprising of Spartacus ended. It became the largest uprising of the mob and the poor in human history.

Closer to our time, this uprising gained worldwide fame thanks to the teachings of Karl Marx, who saw in the personality of Spartacus the image of the first revolutionary leader.

How Slavs shocked Rome? They didn't exist that time. Tribal unions Slavs came way after 2-3century AD, maybe later. There no real understanding in difference between Germanic and Slavic tribes. More likely Goths aliances included as Germans so and Slavs tribes as well.
