Congratulations on the remote adventure award!! Nahoa does have the best remote adventure experience videos on TH-cam. Your videos honor the unique cultures you encounter and show there are people that actually work together to create peaceful and harmonious communities. They put the rest of the world to shame. Looking forward to more Nahoa Adventures!
Well earned - Congratulations on not only you video ,but how you juggle family life aboard . You are like a pair of elegant swans ,smooth on the surface whilst doing all the hard work below the water.
Congrats congrats congrats! It truly helps ppl like me who struggle with anxiety and depression get to live vicariously through you nothing better than to see 2 amazingly calm peaceful people truly live for a great purpose!! And to bring 2 toddlers along I mean I can’t say how much credit you get for that alone! You make it look so easy!!Much love ! Thank you so much for helping me get through tough times
A very deserving win for the Nahoa teams film from Madagascar 🏆. I hope the tribe is aware of the spotlight. BTW, both of you clean up nicely. 😍 Thanks for sharing.
❤ sweet! That was exciting news. Congratulations on your award. You both look so relaxed and look like you're having fun. I'm glad you had this time together although I know when you went home you were all sick.😢 I am on the prairies of Alberta and we just got our first snowfall warning . Ho hum but I guess I'm ready for it because I do love winter . It will be much more enjoyable getting to watch you every week as you share your adventure with the two little ones that are so above adorable . Thank you so much you guys you know we really care about you and I have spent some time worrying when you are crossing . Can't wait for the next leg of your Journeys. With love in all my heart, take really good care.❤
I always look forward to your videos and your adventures. I spend my Sunday morning, drinking my coffee and watching you guys. Your children crack me up and Ashley is just so cute. She’s just fun to watch. She is such a good first mate. Glad you’re sorta home. and safe see you guys next week. Congratulations on your award
Congrats on the award! It was so great for my wife and I to get to meet you both and get to chat (aboard the Balance 526). You two are even nicer and more geniune in person (and I say this as a huge compliment because we have mad respect for you two and your videos!). Best of luck on the new build and we will be watching and rooting for you. Hope to share an anchorage one day down the road.
What a great episode! What a wonderful update and situation!! I feel blessed to be along with you as we watch your family grow and your adventures flourish. Thank you for sharing your lives and the plans for Nahoa 55. It all sounds GREAT!
Congrats on your award! Glad kids have some grandma time. Nice Nahoa 55 ideas. One suggestions: have a platform that can fold up and close in the sugar scopes, then the platform folds down for diving and swimming access. That can increase security by preventing an easy route to get on the boat, keep out sea snakes and seals, etc.
Congratulations. Started watching you four years ago. It feels like we all know you like family. You let us into your lives and shared your adventures. So excited for years to come for you all.
You guys are sooo sweet together - very sweet and genuine - 8 years sailing together - each other’s constant companion - very impressive - ❤️ Mere - NZ
"Wow, I couldn't be more thrilled for Sailing Nahoa on their recent trip to the Annapolis Boat Show! It's been amazing to follow your journey and see the passion and dedication you pour into sailing. The fact that you received such a prestigious award is truly a testament to your hard work and expertise. Also, excited for you about how the new boat design is coming together. Your videos always inspire me to explore new horizons and push my own boundaries when it comes to sailing. I'm not surprised that you're being recognized for your outstanding contributions to the sailing community. It's well-deserved! Congratulations once again on this incredible achievement, and I can't wait to see more of your adventures on the high seas. Fair winds and following seas, Sailing Nahoa!"
Absolutely Incredible, Congratulations on ur Award, u both Deserve it unquestionably. I got a smile a mile wide, when u said u may be coming Down Under, ur going to love Australia and NZ. I'm stoked ur friends with John an Eli McIntosh and can compare Ur new Aluminium mansions on Water. Ash, Ben, kids I want to really thank u all for giving the World the opportunity to see and feel life, through ur Eyes and Hearts. I hope I can meet u all if and when u come to Aussie. Ur both very special, talented wonderful human beings. 🇦🇺🌈🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Congratulations on your award! Well deserved. The new boat design looks awesome. What an adventure to be designing this Nahoa 55 together. Lots of work and decision making but I know it will all work out perfectly in the end. Enjoy your time without the kids, you both deserve this as well. Looking forward to new adventures! ❤
Congratulations on the award. Congratulations on the circumnavigation. Was awesome to get a few moments to talk with ben at the boat show. Keep doing that thing you do!
Congratulations, Ben & Ashlee for the International Crusiers Award. What a great accomplishment. I live in Seattle and always wanted to do what you have done. I have followed you from your begging and have really enjoyed the ride along with you and the children. Thanks for all the entertainment you have given to those who have followed you like me. What a great life choice for your family. I'm looking forward to your next adventure.
Congratulations on the recognition that you truly deserve 🎉🎉🎉 you both are looking amazing and well rested. The new designs look amazing. As always looking forward to seeing more adventures . Love and blessings to you both and your beautiful family 💕💕💕🙏🙏🙏🥰⛵️⛵️
Big congratulations Ben and Ashley!🎉 I truly enjoy your channel and all your shenanigans. Looking forward to all your future videos. From another Canuck in Edmonton. P.S. I didn’t realize Ben was so tall!!
I would imagine that the two of you being alone feels as strange as standing in front of a huge crowd and receiving a award. Congratulations, you certainly deserved to win. I hope the award brings you a boat load of dividends.
Congradulations!! One of my favorites! you crazy kids deserve it! I live in Ucluelet and bought a boat a year ago and you guys have inspired me along with Sam, Brandy and Beau, And those wacky Spear it kids.
I love virtually sailing and exploring with Nahoa to out of the way places that have been visited.. No other sailing channels that I have seen attempt to go to some of these places.. Keep up your adventurous spirit and I am looking forward to more sailing videos soon. Congrats on winning the remote adventure award, very much deserved!!
Just wanted to encourage you both as you and your family are rolling with the punches and sharing the journey with honesty and humour. I hope you find a creative path forward to getting through another east coast winter ♥️
So glad to hear/see this for y’all. Over half of what I’ve enjoyed watching between y’all and the other channels; the past couple years. You had kids and just seamlessly (which is a lie - littles are hard), brought them into your lives and adjusted because that is what having kids is about; without needing more onboard crew to help you watch them, to make your online life happen. It just is what it is. Hats down to you both ♥️ Enjoy!
I'm soooooo super happy for your huge giant accompaniment. Well deserved guys. Any possibility you guys come by Toronto? You can always anchor at Harbour Front. It would be awesome to meet you guys. What I've always admire from you guys is your transparency with us viewers. I was so excited to see you guys win an award. Congratulations Ben & Ashley. I can't wait to see Nahoa 55 in action. Much love guys.
I’m so happy that you guys win the best Chanel, and I happen to follow only one boat and I’m proud to be a subscriber, I wish I could help you more but I’m really proud of you and so happy for everything that is happening, wow totally amazing, and you don’t have your future boat, next year you will have a good chance to win again. Congratulations for your hard work you guys made it and deserve it ❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
Ugh......my old high school friend and I were planning on attending on Saturday, but passed due to the weather. I'm local in Maryland and have spent 40+ years going to Annapolis for dinner, shopping, visiting the Academy, the boat shows and yes, sailing on the Severn. It would have been wonderful to have met you two, but ....oh well. Hope you enjoyed this beautiful little port town! So many memories there!!!
Allow me to join the long line of people, who want to congratulate you, first of all for your successfully completed circumnavigation, then the Award and, finally, your new boat. In regard to the latter, I am particularly happy for you that you seem to have the means to design and build the NAHOA 55 and that you obviously have the experience and good judgement to adopt design elements from Morelli & Marvin designs such as Gunboat and HH Catamarans. Looking at the plans for the NAHOA 55, there can be no doubt that she will be THE ultimate family cruiser, but also fast, easy to handle and safe.
Congrats on your award, The world of sailing is getting smaller and more technical. It must be over whelming with all the new products on the market. Always take and just like Bodie said See yah
Seeing people off their boats it just hit me, Ben you are a tall guy, like Mads. It must be it registered just now because i always see you doing boat yoga....... Fair winds with your travels and good luck with the new boat project. Grtz from Holland
LOVED THIS VIDEO! Great share. We live on the beach here in the Philippines and plan to build a Cat for cruising among the islands here. We will do some native styling from local here. Keep your smiles big.
We broke two dagger boards on our Catana 472, bought a Grainger 47 with 2.5 ft keels, but we found the keels slowed accel eration but more importantly really built up forces in the boat from the increased drag. I think the perfect solution is hydraulic retracting centerboards like in the new McConky 52. We had an aluminum 49ft monohull with a retracting centerboard that was great if you hit a rock or to beach it. It could even have a 6 inch keelson that would enable a wider chord board without intruding into the hull very much. On the west coast of N.A. there are only a few travel lifts wider than 24 ft, and beaching to clean props or wipe the slime off sure beats doing it swimming. The board on the monohull was aluminum and could be accessed inside by taking off a top plate with a dozen bolts and rubber seal. Dagger boards like that would give better performance and be more safe to slide down big waves in a storm. The Australian Sea Brake is another must have in webbing.
The reason why people admire your channel is because you’re real sailors and crossing oceans when others just dream and never leave safe waters fearing failure I wish you all fair winds and sea room
Congratulations 🎂 🥳 🎉 ye more than deserve it, long time due💪🏅🥇🏆👌👍💯 my favourite sailing channel 💖 I wish you all the very BEST of LUCK, plenty love, happiness, success and following winds... ✌❤☘
Congrats on winning the award! Well deserved! HH66 is not a racer. It's a performance cruiser that can race. The rear platform that comes down when the dinghy is in the water is an interesting idea for extra space.
Kudos on the award! Recently discovered your content and really appreciate the authenticity. Experiencing people passionate about their lifestyle is always energizing and motivational. Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your experiences!
I’d like to thank you guys for inspiring me to get out there and do what you’re doing. I spent my entire life savings against my wife’s better judgment and bought the boat of my dreams. Well it ended up being a dud. Thanks so much. Now I’ve lost my wife and children now after disaster struck - on it’s maiden voyage it sunk… in the bath. I’ll get bigger boat next time.
If you do the lightening protection right you stand almost no chance of taking damage due to a direct strike. The other great advantage of aluminum is you can run half pipe down the exterior to make a keel cooler. You can also run a separate pipe for an air conditioner heat exchanger. Doing the half pipe eliminates several openings in the hull.
In the last month I’ve become addicted to your channel, AND I JUST FOUND OUT YOU’RE FROM BC! Hello from Prince George and thank you for your wonderful content. ❤
Hi, We have a Grainger 47 composite cat with fin keels and in British Columbia Canada there are only a couple of travel lifts that can handle more than 24 ft beam. So we like to Beach our boat to clean the bottom etc. The problem is the rear of the keels is very fine so the boat sinks in the sand at the stern. A plate on the keel bottom as well as improving the end plate effect like a wing keel would also make beachin a breeze. On your new boat maybe a small wing on the skeg would do it, but you don't want more lift in the stern pushing the bows down. Good luck, we had an aluminum 49ft centerboarder like Jimmy Cornel's style that was great. Cheers
You’ll have to say ‘aluminium’ when you come to Australia. 😅 Too few youtube yachties come to Australia and then they seem to leave quickly, there’s a LOT to explore with more coastline than the USA @ approx 26,000 km (USA 19,000). The Gulf of Carpentaria is a must and rarely visited, it’s big enough to fit most of Europe into. Aluminium sounds dead set the best choice and you can even “weld” it (really brazing) with low temp gas torch and the appropriate sticks. As you said most of the expedition boats are aluminium and some steel. I’ve often wondered about whether using outboard motors which can be lowered into the water from the two hulls is a practical solution. No chance of leaks through the drive line and less maintenance and drag as the props and legs are out of the water when sailing. Very exciting news all round and congrats on the award, well deserved.
Wish I had more time to watch everything on youtube, but you guys are great! Glad to see you guys moving fwd and living the dream! Look fwd to future episodes!
Nw passage bound……, Americas & Antarctic circumnavigation……, good Health& continued successes….new craft looks great. Thank you for the inspiring content for living well in& on this planet!
Wow! Winners! I think live-aboard cruisers are exceptionally intelligent persons, not taking risks but rather informed actions. You are the baseline for the rule. Yeah, can't wait to see what you are going to do tomorrow! :¬) Webhead USA
So glad that you two humble sailors/TH-camrs won that award. It is well deserved!
+You'll be flying a spaceship!😃
Is not all the new design going from cad right to cnc plasma or laser?
Good idea keeping the old boat until new one is ready. We dont want to miss out on your sailing adventures while new boat is built.

Congrats guys - if you make it to Sydney welcome to stay. The O’Kelkys loved it. My way of saying thanks for all the videos.
Congratulations on the award..you both deserve it. Blessings
Congrats on winning the award! Well deserved!
HH66 is not a racer. It's a performance cruiser that can race.
The rear platform that comes down when the dinghy is in the water is an interesting idea for extra space.
Huge congrats and looking forward to continued sailing!
Congratulations! I've been watching you guys since you started and I'm so excited for you both! You both deserve this!
ALSO. Congrats to the two most deserving sailors out there. Fantastic. Keep on trucking...err... sailing.
