Love this song! Texas Hill opened for Home Free several times so they collaborated with them to help them out. Texas Hill has also gone through growth spurts. They had 3 members when they did Dreamer with HF at the Ryman and another song in Wyoming but one member left and now they are adding 3 more members. Tim, Adam (on piano) and Austin wrote this song I believe. I love it! Good one Red! I was out of town so I’m a little late reacting.🥰😃
Isn't the lamp on top of the piano in the middle of a field during the day hilarious 😂😂😂😂 Texas Hill doesn't have the followers that Home Free does but here in Texas they're pretty popular.
This song was co-written by Tim and Adam Wakefield (the piano player) There's a live performance of Home Free featuring Texas Hill at the Ryman of Dreamer (another Home Free original).
A really good collaboration is HF's song Dreamer and Texas Hill joined them at the Ryman performance and Tim introduces them all during that video. The Texas Hill guys had joined forces after each of them had been on TV talent shows.
I do hear a teensy bit of Randy Newman is Adam Wakefield’s voice. Good ear! I do like his tone, too! Texas Hill is a great group who have collaborated with Home Free three times counting this one. The other two times are on “Dreamer” and “Go Tell It On the Mountain”. Both videos are excellent! “Dreamer” was on Home Free’s Dive Bar Saints album, and it’s one of my two favorites on that album. I really think you like the title track, and Dreamer, too! (Hint HInt 😊).
I really liked that Tim was singing words on the bass line part of the time - it made him more noticeable. The stand up bass sound gets lost as part of the music, but actual words stand out more.
Love this video You can really hear Tim Great reaction You need to react to David Phelps The End Of The Beginning. Also The Gather Vocal Band Let Freedom Ring featuring David Phelps. Both videos are from Carnegie Hall.
The behind the scenes video for the making of this video is very entertaining - Texas Hill toured with Home Free for a while and you can see how well they got on together. If you're a patron you get access to all the BTS videos - otherwise some of them are available on the 'From the Vault' playlist on the Home Free TH-cam channel. It would be good to get your reaction to one of them - I'd suggest maybe doing their video for 'Castle on the Hill' then the BTS video to see all the shenanigans that go on.
Another great collaboration with Texas Hill. This is an original song written by Tim Foust & Adam Wakefield. They all seem so comfortable performing with each other. Great song, vocals & scenery. Love Tim's bass in this song. And Adam adds the perfect percussion as always.
Home Free are so good. Texas Hill opened for them when I got to see them. Texas Hill is a great group also. Love your reactions!!!! Love your red hair too!!!
As usual, you make me see a song in a different light with the Randy Newman reference I love his songs by the way. Texas Hill is my discovery as Red Clay Stays are yours once I found them I was hooked. Rob does a really great job on this he is so good 🤠🤠🤠#reaction #homefree #homefry #homefreereaction #texashill #redheadedneaighbor #bestreactor #beautifukcountrygirl #redsaemy #youmakemesmile
Having grown up on a 1000 acre Thoroughbred horse farm in Kentucky, which also ran Aberdeen Angus show cattle; I've been on many a road like that. This was a little different from Home Free's usual, but I like it. It is very catchy. Continue to love your reactions. More Home Free originals please. So Long Dixie, Understand and Whats Left of My Heart would be a good start. Looking forward to the next reaction.
Love this fun collab with Texas Hill. There are 3 other videos of them collaborating (as far as I know) as Texas Hill opened for #HomeFree on their first tour post-Covid. 2 of the videos feature a great Home Free original, Dreamer - the first shows them back on tour, and the second (my fav) is Dreamer feat. Texas Hill, LIVE at the Ryman - Tim does a fun mid-song intro of everyone, and as they don't have too many LIVE recordings (that aren't from a fan's cell phone) it's pretty stellar and if you're only going to react to one Dreamer, IMHO this is the one. (Although the original Dreamer video is pretty nostalgic and an ode to many country music legends at the Opry and includes Home Free's first time singing at the Opry as well.) The 3rd video w. Texas Hill is a fantastic rendition of Go Tell It on the Mountain, filmed while on a Christmas tour - I think in Idaho. (?)
Texas Hill is legit!!! By this time (release) HF & TH has done several pcs together; they just fit! Ya notice -- the addition of others and instruments doesn't add nor take away from the sound; as with everyone/group, instruments or not, that HF works with --- it's like magic. Honestly, they compliment one another so well ....... just so damn good!!! : ) Thanks Red Be Safe
I'm pretty much a purist about Home Free's acapella sound--in my opinion they are their own best instruments, period. However, they have a genius knack of knowing when to go "outside the lines" to include other vocalists and actual musical instruments to create amazing musicality, so I'll simply trust our Home Free guys to make everything they release to be the best it can be, acapella or not ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ #HomeFree #TexasHill
Few things are more fun than finding an old gravel road that you've never taken. And it was even more fun before we had GPS. It made it kind of an adventure with the added risk of getting lost. Good reaction as always.
Interesting that you thought of Randy Newman hearing Adam Wakefield. That's a perfect comparison! For both the bluesy style and the tone of voice. And it had never occurred to me. I grew up with Randy Newman and have always loved him.
Home Free also has a live video with Texas Hill of "Dreamer" & a video with them of "Go Tell it on the Mountain". They also have a live video with Willie Jones singing "Your Man/Get Low": th-cam.com/video/O9NHQJXnQWQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pQs6KWPftfMfjb3Z - that's just terrific! Thanks for playing this & your comments. #HomeFree #WillieJones
This is a great song. Love Texas Hill and HF. These boys are great.❤️❤️
Watch Home free holiday song " Snow Globe "
Home Free and Texas Hill do a great rendition of "Go Tell it on the Mountain" Thanks again Red!

Interesting observation about Randy Newman! I agree...and had never thought about it before.

This is a MUST watch! Tim does a great mid-song introduction of everyone.
You’re right about the Randy Newman style hint,
I drive down a road like that a lot! It's the driveway to the barn where my horse is!!
A really good collaboration is HF's song Dreamer and Texas Hill joined them at the Ryman performance and Tim introduces them all during that video. The Texas Hill guys had joined forces after each of them had been on TV talent shows.
My day will be great now, got you to start it off
Wooow great react ❤❤❤
They have so much fun together!! The behind the scenes of this video is hilarious!!

I love their " Dreamer " Home Free ft. Texas Hill Live at the Ryman. Thanks for the Home Free reactions
YES, this one! Please Red!

I see others have given you the Texas Hill background. They have quite a bit of good music on their own channel. I especially like Hard on A Heart.

This song is one of those that "sticks to the ribs"
I think Home Free and Texas Hill have a video of them at the Grand Ol' Opry somewhere here on TH-cam
It's a Home Free original, Dreamer feat. Texas Hill, LIVE at the Ryman (not too far from the Opry).
I agree, much like Randy Newman in tone and range. Randy came immediately to mind.
Always enjoy this!
"... Go away! Get outta here!" Haha, I loved that, Red! :)
lol
Thanks for the reaction, it was great. You make me smile.
Thank you!!

Texas Hill + Home Free are Fire! ❤🔥I love this song so very much. Love your reaction as always Red! ♥

I love this song.
Only complaint is it should’ve been twice as long.
Epic!!!!!
My hand is up! I could tell by your smile that you enjoyed that!
One of my favorites 😍
💕💕💕
You should listen to Lucy Thomas sing "Memory"!
Interesting that you thought of Randy Newman hearing Adam Wakefield. That's a perfect comparison! For both the bluesy style and the tone of voice. And it had never occurred to me. I grew up with Randy Newman and have always loved him.
Very nice, Red!

this has been out about a year now, and it's bothered me, as I knew that voice sounded like someone....you NAILED it's Randy Newman he sounds like
Oh, thank you!
Red dirt roads...
I get a Travis Tritt vibe from Texas Hill's singer.
it's not live. it's all studio ,I don't like that ,for me this is a big difference with FLOOR.
