Great suggestion. I have some episodes on advisory boards, much of which applies to BoD. th-cam.com/video/ykMt94ysksA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/eYF1MgWIKvs/w-d-xo.html
This is an awesome video. Thanks for making. I am curious... What happens to the remaining 4m shares of the 10m created and how does it get used up since new classes of shares are created for investors?
It should track stock ownership over multiple series of stock. It should also track options, warrants, convertible notes, and SAFEs. It is nice if the shareholder gets their own account to be able to see their holdings as well. Automatic checking for compliance with certain rules and regulations is also a good thing. I included the granted options but not the whole pool in the ownership calculation. To understand the fully diluted situation, you can add those in. You can also make some assumptions about the conversion of notes to get an estimate of their dilution as well.

Would love to hear more content about Boards, how to set one up and best practices for that, and how Board meetings are typically run

Excellent, clear and concise.
Small issue easily fixed: the link is to a broken page on your site (at least for me)
Thanks, Paul! Looks like that link changed when the website was updated. Fixed now.
THANK YOU! Super clear and helpful.
Great to hear!

It can be used for option or stock grants to founders, advisors, and employees. If some shares never get issued, that is just fine.
Thank you. What functionality and attributes should an online cap table application have please?

@@FeeltheBoot thank you very much
Really good, thank you! Are the ownership % in the second example including the options pool or not?
