Thanks for the informative video. I just purchased this round satchel in tobacco color. I plan to keep it in backpack mode for awhile. The only think I don't like so far, is the metal ring does dig into your upper back while wearing. Hopefully as the leather becomes less stiff and more pliable, this will ease the metal ring a little bit so as to not poke into your back as much? Hopefully this is better for you since I see you've had this for a number of years now. thx

Obviously, your post is super old, but if you just do the same process, but run the initial pass under the ring instead of over the ring, you get a better set up that does not dig into your back at all. It puts a portion of the strap between the ring and your back, so only leather ever touches you.
