The views dropping into Duluth. Epic. Duluth/Superior has some really interesting infrastructure for an area of its size...great work, enjoyed the ride very much!
Thanks for the ride….I left Duluth in 1969 after graduating from DAIT. You ended the video where my cousin died falling into one of those grain elevators.
Thanks Jim. I've yet to get arguably the most scenic drive in the area which is 210 through Jay Cooke State Park. The road is set to re-open soon after flood damage from 2012. Hopefully it will translate well to video.
Very nice job mate, I need to head out there ! The Bong Bridge looks size shaped like the Hoan Bridge in Milwaukee that I had the chance to drive in 2010, already :) How come some of you guys never get problems with the sun when changing directions in a single video ? Even if my windshield is not so old (about 3-4 years), when I am filming to much to the sun (Even when he's on the side) I can see some gravel impacts appearing in the video. I must also say that my Camcorder is directly mounted ON the Windshield, so, very close to the glass. I also can see those spots when it's too darker somewhere in the landscape, example, in the shadow of something. 5*
Thanks. I'm not sure really. When I started using a DSLR I've noticed filming into the sun looked a little better. A larger lens will let in more light from shadows. I also use black construction paper on the dash to avoid sun glare.
The original plan for I-43 was to have it head further north via Wausau and Ironwood then on to Duluth. How it would have bypassed those cities I'm not sure.
@@eluko79 never that before,I live 12 Miles west of Ironwood, just can't see how the bong was suppose to bypass Superior,it's the whole reason it's there,to get and from Superior and us 2
@@eluko79 If you come back maybe you should do a video on MN-610 its been connected to I-94 for quite a while now. And maybe MN-141 from Rogers to Elk River.
lol, some of what I saw hasn't changed since I lived in Duluth back in 73. I lived by 11th Ave E and 11th St. Something few see or know is the bell at Peace United Church of Christ is from the USS Duluth

Thanks Brent. It has the bones of a large major city. Early industrialist like Morgan and Carnegie had high hopes for this place.
Now make that drive in a blowing snow storm to show how crazy it can get.
Very nice, and what a killer view and descent into town!
I’ve driven the Bong bridge once. Made many trips across the old Arrowhead bridge. Lived and worked in Superior in the 70’s.
Great to have you back! I'd really love to go to Duluth, I love the scenery!
...and now I know the song name after all this time! :)
I drove 35 north to go to Superior a few weeks ago. Great views into Duluth, and very easy to get on the Bong.
Quite a view from the hill!

great video. You picked a surprisingly scenic and interesting place to stop at the end, under that bridge. ✌️
Thanks Phil. I can never get enough of those old industrial landscapes.
My father was an engineer who built the Bong Bridge!
I hit the bong this year, first time in a decade but I also hit a bong every day
Nice video. I grew up here.
That was a pretty interesting ride , good work! ... It's always good to hear from you , dear friend !! :))))
Thanks Josan. Glad you liked it.
My home :) Nice video tour.
Thanks Josh!
Excellent work, that seems like such a cool area, have really enjoyed your coverage of it.

Wow, that was really neat. Great video!
Welcome back! Great ride! I hope to get up there real soon!
Thanks. It's definitely worth the trip.

The TWO warehouses on the left at 4:56 both burned to the ground in below zero weather on January 6th 2021. Nice video of the twin ports.
Nice production. Tower avenue looks pretty good. Haven't been back in a while. Where you ended, I used to get grain samples from trucks. Thanks.
Thanks for the video I have a fear of heights and Your video showed me that the bridge isn’t too bad to drive on
Your videos always have really cool music.
Thanks Ryne.

Have you thought about the new hwy 36 bridge?
I drove over it last night. Quite an impressive structure. However the pavement was bumpier than I was expecting. I'll be filming it later this week.
What happened? Why haven’t you posted a new video in a while?
I beleive his last video to date was the Cleveland one back in April 2018.
If you want to see an engineering marvel, check out the Stillwater bridge over the St Croix river. Way cooler.
that would be cool of weed road was on bong bridge
What’s that big brown building behind Wendy’s at 0:30?
Just a factort/office building
Hey I saw your YT name and couldn't figure out where I remember it from. Panoramio??????
Please explain how the bong bridge was supposed to bypass superior and hook up to Green Bay & Milwaukee?
