I like to keep it at 15, but am comfortable anywhere between 5 and 20. If I want to get bumpier I'll go 20, but I also like to have more control because I guard ball most games and I don't want to be sliding. Really the key for me is knowing when to press the LT and RT regardless of the assist level. Excited to see what you think in your video Tutes!
to do the standing dunk in traffic glitch you have to double flick the right stick (in any direction) it will go up str8 for a posterizer contact dunk in the paint regardless of defense animations to make it more efficient start the 1st flick in a direction opposed to the defender, so he doesnt get contacted by the D and doesnt stop his momentum gathering then u do the second flick in the direction that u wanna attack the basket so he goes up strong and finish accuratly so basically ... either flick right stick up twice (then hold it up to dunk) or if the D is on your left side, flick the stick to the right side and then up towards basket so he takeoff without defensive contact that stops his gather, and then chain to another animation before he get time to be interrupted so he just rise over the D the joystick on absolute is seperated in different part like the body parts the lower part is lower body the top part is high body left side is left body right side is right body the 4 corners of the stick is the 4 limbs of the player body top corner left is left arm, he will stretch to try and go past the D lower corner left is the left leg, he will try to jump over the D, not past the D, to posterizer instead the top right is the right arm, so if u run fastbreak and wanna outrun defense and do quick drop the bottom right is the right leg, if u wanna jump over the D and posterize them if u cant outrun them, so he takes off more from the back leg and have more strenght to finish over contact so u make 2 flicks = 1st is the hesitation that will also create space to gather ... the 2nd is the animation that will rise over the shook defense all in 1 combo like a dribble move or stakeboard trick its the same for the post moves the top left is left arm bottom left is left leg top right is right arm lower right is right leg if u wanna stretch and finger roll from left or right u have to use the top if u wanna step into the post move to do up&under like a dreamshake u have to use the lower corners to move the left or right legs and after that hesitation u can still pull the stick up to finish with a finger roll like the real dream shake and more ... all on absolute control
I feel like when you go taller than 7ft you dunk a lot less than someone with a shorter C build. I haven’t had a truly dominant big man build since 2k20 n it’s sad the way the post mechanics work. Out here missing 10% contested layups on a 6’7 sf yet these pgs can get a layup over me 60% or more contested
facts💯it feel like ever since next gen they took the big man animations n turn em all WEAK💯🤞🏾like doin post hook behind tha basket n drop step outta bounds🤦🏾♂️dont get me started on missing easy layup / close shot🤣🤣🤣💯i remember back when if u made yo center 6 10 he was fast enough to grab the board n run downhill coast to coast to a contact dunk💯bro since next gen my 6 10 can barely even get up the court let alone thru traffic🤦🏾♂️💯🤞🏾
@@waff6ix I remember back in the day when I had a 7’1 post scorer unless they had a big it was wraps no one was stopping me now all you need is a SF with some D that’s like saying you stopping Joel with Middleton. 2k22 is my least played 2K to the point where I’m probably done with the franchise as a whole. I’ll probably buy it every 3/4years but yearly ain’t for me anymore
No cap yall just don’t know how to work the post moves. Y’all stay trying to catch a body instead of just trying to get the smart bucket. a max defense sf is not stopping my 7’2 center consistently. They don’t even stop my 6’10 center with max strength and post control.
Right stick up is by far the best I don't get them often when I Use X button. But get at least an attempt everytime I use right stick up. Also I noticed u get them more frequently if u hit right stick up before I even catch the ball rather than waiting til u catch it
Rs up and R2 is the best...thank you your channel is very educational especially for me coz i am not a good 2k gamer i havent reach level 40 on all season...only 33...😭😭😭
I dont even bother with stick and stupid lay up delay animations with all hof badges on my 99 close shot 99 interior dunk paint beast just press x button is a poster dunk really op 😋
I think a lot of people try to go up too quickly after a catch or rebound. You gotta pump fake or at least let them step to face the basket or it'll always be a close shot or layup.
Big facts, I've noticed this as well after playing on my big so long. The pump fake triggers a standing dunk a lot of the time for me, especially for contact dunks.
I have two center builds and for some reason my second build will not dunk (I made a second that could shoot threes), he just does layups. Standing dunk is 87 and vertical is 67. My first build dunks all the time and his states are slightly lower (one or two points). Both are seven feet and the only difference I can see (concerning dunk) is my first build has running dunk in the high 40s and my second is at 25. Any thoughts on why he won’t dunk? Btw I am using RT with Right stick pressing up.
Hey Tutes maybe i’m just bad but i feel like when i have limitless takeover on i get more full bars when i shoot directly on the 3pt line. If I shoot from distance it obviously helps but normal threes feel worse. Has anyone else experienced this?
Made a glitched 6’10 build that the game registers as 6’9 which has a lot of advantages stats wise but since the game only thinks the build is 6’9, it can’t unlock big man contact dunks. Wondering if you’ve done any testing on the importance of ‘big man contact dunks’ specifically in standing dunk attempts.
Can’t go wrong with R2 + Up analog. Y’all need to go in practice mode & practice stand dunks it’s really not that hard. U should be able to dunk consistently wide open with a 65 stand dunk. Also check your launch points, u may be too far or too close.
What badge level should I put Blinders on? I know you’ve covered the direction of when the badge is triggered, but I would love more analysis on it. I can’t get it to HOF, so what are your thoughts?
I feel like I use it in the right situations and more times than not having the timing right. Guess we have to agree to disagree. I say leave it, move it somewhere else in the screen and make it bigger.
I have a 7’0 240 Glasslock with 99 sd 81 dd 99 block 97/96 rebounding and 73 speed. Best build in the game. No centers that can guard me but i can guard every center

to do the standing dunk in traffic glitch
you have to double flick the right stick (in any direction)
it will go up str8 for a posterizer contact dunk in the paint regardless of defense animations
to make it more efficient
start the 1st flick in a direction opposed to the defender, so he doesnt get contacted by the D and doesnt stop his momentum gathering
then u do the second flick in the direction that u wanna attack the basket so he goes up strong and finish accuratly
so basically ... either flick right stick up twice (then hold it up to dunk)
or if the D is on your left side, flick the stick to the right side and then up towards basket so he takeoff without defensive contact that stops his gather, and then chain to another animation before he get time to be interrupted so he just rise over the D
the joystick on absolute is seperated in different part like the body parts
the lower part is lower body
the top part is high body
left side is left body
right side is right body
the 4 corners of the stick is the 4 limbs of the player body
top corner left is left arm, he will stretch to try and go past the D
lower corner left is the left leg, he will try to jump over the D, not past the D, to posterizer instead
the top right is the right arm, so if u run fastbreak and wanna outrun defense and do quick drop
the bottom right is the right leg, if u wanna jump over the D and posterize them if u cant outrun them, so he takes off more from the back leg and have more strenght to finish over contact
so u make 2 flicks = 1st is the hesitation that will also create space to gather
... the 2nd is the animation that will rise over the shook defense
all in 1 combo like a dribble move or stakeboard trick
its the same for the post moves
the top left is left arm
bottom left is left leg
top right is right arm
lower right is right leg
if u wanna stretch and finger roll from left or right u have to use the top
if u wanna step into the post move to do up&under like a dreamshake u have to use the lower corners to move the left or right legs
and after that hesitation u can still pull the stick up to finish with a finger roll like the real dream shake
and more ... all on absolute control
is tghis still up to date because this was helpful
Thanks bro this was really informative

Which control you think is the most effective?
R2 & Right Stick

R2 + square for me. It's been like that since NBA Live 99 on PS1 for me.
1:04 If the player's preferred dunking hand is not "either" on edit a player, it would be on the preferred hand more often.
Keep Making Content Tutes. Love your videos and they made me better.
Can you do worst/best jump shots for catch and shoot?
Thanks for the suggestion!
Yes! Best catch and shoot jumpshots

how do u do that spin you're doing at beginning of the video?
Very good stuff and great work man
Damn, I was trying to find a vid on irl standing dunks. I be missing my all mine
What about controller settings?
Crystal clear
Thank u Tutes
Thanks for the appreciation my friend!
I hope they take the dunk meter off

Thanks! Keep at it :D
Hey Tutes, does stamina deplete faster for a higher weighted build versus a lower weighted build?
Yes, but not much difference
TUTES! DO ONE FOR DRIVING DUNKS !!!!!!

My 6'9 gets standing dunk animations due to high standing dunk I think

Max so gold. blinders changes the game
As high as it can go
Square is for starters right stick up it’s for advanced players cause you’re more in control of what you want to do instead of something random
Thank you
not a problem!
@@nba2ktutes now i know why my center do reverse layup 😂
Can you see the best way to get passing lane steals because I press square and I never get one

2k23 version?
Best dunk pages to initiate contact dunks or Posterizing
Thanks for the suggestion!
Fast Twitch Badge Level effects speed of Right Stick Down... lower the Badge better chance of using dunk sticking opponents
Make this for 2k23 please
My characters wont dunk it always changes to a layup. Have a 90 standing dunk 87 post control and 99 strength Gold rise up and fast twitch
My dunk meter will not pop up for standing dunks period….anybody else have this problem???
Find out I’m a standing dunk type of guy I cannot wait Until 23
Can you do a tutorial on how to get open?
Type in dribble moves for beginners & there's some really good vids on yt
Use limitless takeoff badge, i have it in gold in my 7’3 build. It help me a lot to get more standing dunk and get standing dunk farther than usual.
Rise Up, Posterizer, and Fast Twitch are probably huge for this too.
Ur talking current gen right lol
7'3 center can't get limitless takeoff on gold
The dunk meter is such a joke. They didn't know how to balance contact dunks so they just made it extremely difficult.
I hope they keep it for 23. It should be hard. Defender shouldn't be able to see it though
Thanks for sharing!
@@Chillout823 how they gonna keep something that lags like a jump shot that shit is so glitched!
