Yeah, the whole experience at Batangas Port just pissed me off. They tried to confiscate by buddy's cigarette lighter, even though smoking is allowed on the pump boat. WTF? The security shit heads were taking the lighters for themselves. Next time I have to transit Batangas Port I will be drunk. Problems solved.
You are right with everything about the corrupt government in the Philippines, especially paying all the fees that don't seem to go anywhere except someone else's pocket and not yours. Thanks again for the enlightening information.
All governments are corrupted no matter what country you live in! I find first world governments don't leave you alone compare to countries like the Philippines where they only get 5% tax from their wage taken compare to 50%.
I love Sabang but this port is the biggest hustle . They grab your bags , and basically won't stop . Almost easier to just hand them a few 100 pesos and tell them to leave you alone .
