Backpacking THE COLORADO TRAIL Part Six Monarch Pass to Lake City

Part Six sees me leave Salida and head for Lake City, over a hundred miles away.
The weather turned rough on this stretch with a couple of thunderstorms and some snow along the way. The views were awesome though.

Love your videos - with your love of American Trails how long before you do the: PCT, CDT or AT - or maybe the Triple Crown?

I always wanted to do the CDT as I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of getting permits for the PCT. I’ve never fancied the AT as your within the tree line for long periods. But missing my family for around 6 months is a step to far I think, plus I’m not sure my legs would do it either 😂
