  • I wanted to share my experience using Starlink to work remotely in the gorgeous mountains of Colorado. We spent 3 days outside of cell phone signal range and had fully featured, high speed internet while doing so. This allowed me to work and launch one of my biggest ever client websites.
In this video, I walk you through my thoughts after using it as my primary source of internet for 3 days at multiple different locations.
I think Starlink is probably the coolest technology to come out in my lifetime and having the chance to use it first hand was absolutely amazing.
This isn't my typical content of WordPress tutorials, but I thought you might find it interesting if you're looking at getting Starlink as your primary internet service, or if you travel or camp a lot and want to be able to work, stream video, etc while you're on the go.

You just keep leveling up your content game! That van life/remote work lifestyle is certainly a compelling one.

Congratulations on your biggest client to date. Even cooler to be working on it remotely remote! Thanks for giving your honest take of Starlink.

I've been using it remove in my full-time RV for over two years. It's gone from better than nothing to excellent. We're currently mooch docking from my publisher in Coinjock NC. The hurricane just passed over us last night (well, a little to the south, but we had 60mph winds and torrential rain). I never lost connection. It went a bit slow a few times, but never stopped.
Starlink is a game changer, and as a military sci-fi author, I love it more than words can convey. That it's delivered by an orbital class booster than lands vertically (as God and Robert Heinlein intended) is just icing on the cake.

The tech to make it work really is nuts!

I want to use Starlink, but isn`t it globally over 200 dollars a month?

I love Star Link. I have the same setup, and use it when working remotely in our caravan. I've hit over 100mb when in the middle of nowhere, so it works well with pushing around big data files, online meetings and streaming movies etc

Same issue here and highly annoying to drive 10 minutes to the ridge bHind my home or the one in front where Loma Prieta cellular and TV broadcast towers are located. Viasat knows one would not deal with their miserly data caps and throttling if there were ANY other option. Starlink believes computer(s) are not needed for their service. IMO that is most assuredly erroneous.

My home area is in the forest and there is no line coverage, is it for a good internet speed for streaming and many users?

Thanks for this. So I’ve got my Starlink set up Gen 3. Trying to figure out if I can cancel my boyfriend’s cell service with Verizon, since he doesn’t make phone calls. If I do I’m wondering if he can still access our Starlink account so he can access the internet. Anyone know?
