I had a teacher in grade 8 that was always decked out in diamonds and I thought they were fake because they were so damn large. Then on parent teacher night as we were all leaving her husband picked her up in a fucking Rolls Royce. She was the best teacher I had she was sweet, attentive, and fed me because I was so poor I didn’t eat more than once a day. Her husband is rich af and she most likely just wanted to work still. She told the class, when we were all talking about our dreams and aspersions, she always wanted to be a teacher for underprivileged children. Great woman.

Are classroom was literally falling apart there were cracks in the walls and mold, so seeing her husband was very shocking haha. Thinking back to it she was lucky to not have been robbed wearing jewelry in our area. Hope she is living it up like she wanted
@@cringe4021 right? Pretty rare honestly. Like if she wanted she could have been a housewife I doubt her husband would have cared but it wasn’t who she was she actually loved to teach! Our school was broke so our books were ripped and old we had to share so she bought us all books and school supplies from her own money so we could actually learn. She taught me extra after school for free twice a week to help me speak English proper and learn life skills. I learned about 401ks and investments from her (as much as you could teach a kid lol) but she stressed the importance of having savings. Of course at the time it meant nothing we were poor not even my parents had that stuff, but when I got old I wised up went to college, then med school, and while she wasn’t my only inspiration she certainly helped me!

Unfortunately because they are so mobile, they are the only source of testing usually available in a jewelry stores arsenal. The best testing equipment is the GIA 100 ID diamond tester. However, most people, up and including jewelry stores cannot afford it’s nearly $4000 price tag.
